Fɪʀᴇ ɪɴ ᴍʏ Hᴇᴀʀᴛ || 𝕋𝕒𝕟𝕛𝕚𝕣𝕠 𝕩 𝕄𝕦𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕣𝕠

ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ᴡᴀᴋᴇ ᴜᴘ..

"Tanjiro-San is gone!!!"

At the moment that was all the mist pillar had heard, and he immediately felt a sence of dread. He had stayed at the butterfly manor for the night, since Tanjiro had invited him to stay.

"What?! What do you mean he's gone?!" Tokito asked frantically. "He's still injured! Why would he leave?!"

"I don't know! He went off to see the Kyojuro family!" The small black haired girl said.

Kyojuro..? Kyojuro?
"Who's Kyojuro? I don't remember.." Tokito said, slipping back into his amnesia infused confusion.

"Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame piller! He died just a few days ago, don't you remember?" The girl asked

Tokito shook his head..
Why would he go there..? Why wouldn't he tell me..? Did he tell anyone..?
"I think.. I think I should go back to my estate.. Tell me when Tanjiro returns.." he said as he walked out of the room.

His mind was racing once more, but so was his heart. Why wouldn't Tanjiro tell him he was leaving..? Was it that important? He guessed if it was important to his friend then he could live with this.. He couldn't be gone for long..

The Mist pillar wondered out of the butterfly manor and to the dirt pathway leading back to Oyakata's garden. While the boy walked, he looked at the flora and fauna around the estates of the pillars.. It was rather.. nice. He wished Tanjiro would go on a walk with him..

Suddenly, something caught the boy's eye, a flower. Specifically, A crimson colored flower. Tokito sat there and stared at the flower..

This is a Lycoris! They're Native to Japan, China, and Korea!

They're red.. They look like your eyes Tanjiro..

"Tanjiros... eyes.. Lycoris.." Tokito repeated.. That was right.. Tanjiro had shown him this flower when they went on a walk together..

Tokito grabbed the flower and pulled it from the ground. "Tanjiro.." He muttered out.. Maybe if he had these in his home he'd remember Tanjiro better! He pulled out some more of the Lycoris and put them all in his hand in a bouquet.

When he was finished he stared at the flowers in his hands. He picked one up and placed it just behind his ear.. He wondered if Tanjiro would like how he looked with a flower in his hair..

Tokitos face suddenly turned red at that thought. He shook his head
W-What am I thinking!?
Tokito quickly ran down the path, trying to get that thought out of his head.

When Tokito got home, he set the flowers he had gathered on the table and grabbed a empty vase he had. He walked down to a small stream near the back of his home and held the vase in the water to gather it up. When he was finished he walked back inside and to that same table. He sat down the vase and put the flowers in the vase.

Tokito layed his head on the table and looked up at the crimson flowers, seeing Tanjiro's eyes.

Tanjiro..

And so, the days passed by, and Tokito took care of those flowers. He went on walks to the butterfly manor and asked about Tanjiro. Strangely, those two friends of his disappeared after his second visit. He can't remember what the girls there told him anymore, but he was sure Tanjiro would be back soon.. He promised he'd come back.. always..

As of right now, Tokito was walking down to the butterfly manor to see of Tanjiro was back. He had a Lycoris in his hair, it had become a habit of sorts, he couldn't wait to show Tanjiro all of the flowers he had collected!

He walked to the door and slowly knocked on it. The door opened and there stood one of those three little girls, but she looked very.. Worried?

"O-Oh Hello Mr. Mui.." The girl said as if she was holding back tears.

Tokito immediately felt his heart stop "Is everything ok? What's wrong? I-Is Tanjiro back yet? Did something happen to him?!" He stammered

"Please calm down! Tanjiro has come back.. but.. he's badly injured from his last mission.. I can take you to see him" The girl offered to Tokito.

Tokito nodded and grabbed the little girls hand as she lead him down the hall. Tokitos heart was racing. How bad was it? Was he going to die..? Tanjiro couldn't die! He didn't want to forget him!!

The girl lead Tokito into a room, just beside the infirmary room. Tanjiro was laying in a bed, hooked up to something he honestly couldn't remember what they were.. did he even know? He was heavily bandaged and he had a distressed look on his face as he panted heavily in a comatosed sleep.

"I need to go help the others.. if anything bad happens come find us.." The girl said before she walked out of the room.

Tokito stared at Tanjiro for a while, taking in the sight of his friend.. Once he got the courage, he walked over to the side of the bed and pulled a chair up to it. "Tanjiro..?" He said, his voice breaking a bit "You'll be ok.. wouldn't you..?" He asked, talking to himself.. As if he expected an answer

Tokito looked at Tanjiros hand and slowly took out the Lycoris in his hair. He lifted his hand and placed it under in, and then gently set his hand back down. "This is for you.. It reminds me of your eyes.." he said, again like he was expecting an answer.

The boy sat in silence for a while longer, listening to Tanjiro's breathing. "T-Tanjiro.." he muttered, tears welling up in his crystal blue eyes. He set his head on the side of the bed "Wake up.." he said as he grabbed his opened hand "Please.. wake up.. please.." He begged to no one

"Wake up soon.. so we can go on walked together again.."

Nii-san.. wake up.. please..

Who said that...? It sounded like his own voice.. but who was nii-san..? Tokito closed his eyes, not wanting to think about anything. He's never wanted to just.. wake up.. He wanted this to be a dream..
