HAZEL'S POV>>>>>
So to be clear, Jason and Nico were in the infirmary, both sustaining gruesome injuries, and Percy was some red-eyed, Tartarus-serving demigod who was out to kill us.
Oh, the sweet life of a demigod.
NOT!
Why wouldn't the Fates just leave us alone for once, eh? There seems to always be some thing bad going on....like Kronos rising 4 years ago. Or Gaea's rising a few months ago. Now this! GAAAAAAAAAAHHH this gets so annoying sometimes. But I suppose that ranting about it wasn't going to stop anything, or thinking so much, or-- "snap out of it Hazel!", I chided myself. The camp medics probably need help and here I am just zoning out!
I ran over to the infirmary and-gods of Olympus have mercy on me! It was packed in there! There were campers in the beds and on the floor; they'd even laid some tarps down outside to accommodate to the amount of wounded. The medics were rushing around faster than the speed of light, tying up cuts and feeding fighters ambrosia and nectar. When I saw Nico, my breath caught. His face was even paler than usual (which was saying something), and his breathing was ragged. What caught my attention most though was the the blood on the side of his t-shirt, and the amount of it. I rushed over to him and startled him--and me--because I thought he was asleep. Nico made an unearthly screech and I jumped. Then I proceeded to hug and scold him.
"Nico di Angelo!" I cried, holding him at arms' length. "What were you thinking? You almost got yourself killed again!"
"...sorry...?" He responded meekly. Wow. Meekly? Him? Never.
"And here I was thinking there were more than just shadows in that brain of yours..." I sighed teasingly. I crushed him in another hug.
"Hey--OW!" He wheezed. He was struggling in my grip all the while saying "Crushing...ribs...cant...breathe....!"
Like I cared.
"You know I don't like being touched, Levesque!" He complained after I finally let go. "Don't care." I responded. "Anyway, I've gotta go now to see if I'm needed elsewhere. See ya later!" I heard him mutter "About time."
"I heard that!" I said.
