The woman ran through the forest trying to get to the bone eaters well with her children. The sounds of the demon chasing them were getting closer. Once there the priestess placed a strong barrier around the well and sacred tree to buy them some time. She smiles as she gave the little ones hugs while giving them necklaces to help them gather the energy they would need. The priestess smiles sadly at her two oldest children.
"I believe in you. take care of your siblings once they are were they need to be." She told them as they nod. The demon banged and clawed at the barrier as they quickly got their sibling through the well. The oldest look back at their mother with sad eyes. She smiles sadly at them with a tear down her cheek. "Go I will be fine." The woman said, grabbing an arrow and notching it to her bow as she turned to face the demon. They nodded while jumping down the well as the woman released the barrier. As the demon ran towards her she cries as her powers formed around the arrow. "I'm sorry my love." She chokes out as she pinned him to the tree sealing him there as the tears didn't stop running. The woman looked back the well with sad eyes.
"It's up to you my children, Kami-sama please watch over and protect them." She whispers to the starry sky.
