Part 2: Y-Your the father?

Kagome stood over Inuyasha waiting for the answer as Sesshomaru sat down away from them across the room. "Miko calm yourself this Sesshomaru will answer your questions."  He said, making Kagome turn around to face Sesshomaru and sighs as she nods. "Very well then lord Sesshomaru Who is the father?" She asked. Sesshomaru waited for her to take a seat while glaring at Inuyasha. Inuyasha growls at Sesshomaru before leaving the hut as he didn't want to be there when he told her. Kagome looked at the two confused on what was going on between the two of them. 

"What has the half breed told you so far?" Sesshomaru questioned.

"He told me how she arrived and that she was my child, but that's pretty much it." Kagome answered, as she sat down across from him. She didn't know what else to say as she had never been this close or alone with Sesshomaru before. Kagome bites the inside of her cheek wondering what she should say or do. Sesshomaru was studying her body language before sighing through his nose before looking at the ground. "The half breed isn't that stupid. At least he has the sense to tell you about the situation." Sesshomaru said, as Kagome glares at him. Sesshomaru looked her confused on why she would be glaring at him. "Stop calling him half breed and stupid, his name is Inuyasha and he is not stupid." She told him as she crossed her arms with a glare. Sesshomaru nods while listening to her words. 

"Very well this Sesshomaru will do that Miko." Sesshomaru stated, making Kagome smile. She was surprised that he would agree so easily with her about calling Inuyasha by his name. 

Before they could continue talking Aoi ran into the hut with a bright smile holding some flowers. "Daddy! Daddy look me and Auntie Sango picked these pretty flowers." She said, making Kagome's eyes widened as she looked at them. Her mind was rushing trying to process what she was learning in one whole day after coming back from her own time. Kagome snapped out of it when she saw flowers shoved in her face. Aoi smiles brightly at her making her smile as she gentle took the flowers. "Thank Aoi these are very beautiful." She said, making the little girl cheer while bouncing happily. Kagome giggles as she watched her run out to keep playing with the others. She then frowns as she looked at Sesshomaru with shocked eyes. Sesshomaru nods at her as Aoi had spoken the truth. Kagome couldn't take anymore and fainted. Before she hit the floor Sesshomaru easily caught her then lays her down on the ground. He stood up watching her fainted from before leaving the hut. Inuyasha glares at his brother as he watched him come. "Keh leaving already after learning about this." He said, while crossing his arm. 

"This Sesshomaru is entrusting you to take care of his pup." Sesshomaru said, as he walked passed him. Inuyasha frowns as he watched him walk away before heading into the hut. He sighed seeing Kagome was passed out. Inuyasha lays her sleeping bag out then lays her inside so she wouldn't catch a cold. He sat down next her while watching her sleep. 'Why would she have a child with Sesshomaru of all people?' He thought while getting lost in thought.  By time dinner was ready Kagome had woken up. She was lost in thought while everyone was talking about which way they would be heading to find more shards and to find Naraku. Inuyasha was calling Kagome's name noticing she wasn't answering him. Everyone looked at Kagome with worried eyes. Kagome noticed them staring at her. "Guys I'm fine really just lost in thought." She says then began to eat her food with a smile. 

The others nod but knew she wasn't fully ok. "Alright then we will be heading west to see if we can find anymore jewel shards before Naraku." Inuyasha said, as the other nods while they were eating. "What about Aoi?" Kagome asked.  "I'm gonna stay with grammy Kaede mommy. I love helping her." Aoi said, with a bright smile making Kagome nod with a smile as that made her sigh in relief. Soon everyone had heads to bed, but Kagome couldn't fall asleep. She quietly grabs her bow and arrows then heads out towards the woods lost in thought. 'Me? A mother? A wife to Sesshomaru.' She thought as she sat down underneath the sacred tree.  

"Miko go back to the village." 

Kagome eye's opened as she looked to her right and noticed Sesshomaru standing away from her. "No. We might have a child Sesshomaru but you don't control me." She says, while glaring at him while crossing her arms. Kagome looked at him confused as he sat on the other side of the sacred tree. "What are you doing?" She asked, with a small frown. 

"This Sesshomaru will stay until you return to the village." He said, while closing his eyes as he listened to his surrounds like always. Kagome blushes a little while looking back down at her lap as she plays with her fingers. She looked back at the stars while wondering what was going on through his mind about finding out he had a child with a human especially her of all people.  Kagome sighs as she looked back towards Sesshomaru. "Sesshomaru-sama how do you feel about this situation of us having a child together?" Kagome asked. A few minutes of quietness Sesshomaru answered her. "Pup." He said, making her look back at him with confused eyes. "Pup?" She asked, looking at him with a frown not understanding. Sesshomaru nods while looking up at the stars with a blank face. "Dog demons refer to their off springs as pups." He told her making her eye's widen then nods with a small smile. "Ok so how do you feel that we have a pup together?" Kagome asked him again. Sesshomaru looked down at his lap as like he was lost in thought about it. Kagome turned back to lean against the tree to give him a moment to process the information as well that they had learned. 

"This Sesshomaru does not care." He said, making Kagome snap her head quickly back at him with wide eyes. "You don't care." She says in disbelief that she heard those words come from the great dog demon Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru got up and began to walk away from her making Kagome frown. "What happened to waiting until I went back to the village?" She called out as he kept walking. Sesshomaru didn't answer as he smelt Inuyasha's scent coming their way meaning his future mate would be safe for now. 

"Kagome." Inuyasha called softly making Kagome look over towards her best friend. 'He must of sensed Inuyasha that's why he left. But why does my heart ache when he leaves?' Kagome thought as she went over to her best friend. Inuyasha sighs as he pulled her into a hug. Inuyasha could tell she needed the comfort and her best friend at the moment. "Don't worry about Kags I will still be here and protect you." He whispers softly to her making Kagome smile a little bit to know her best friend still had her back. "Thank you Yash that means alot to me." She mumbles against his chest but knew he heard her. Inuyasha slowly broke the hug and turned around. 

"Climb on I'll carry you back while you get some rest." Inuyasha told her, making Kagome as she climbed up on to his back. Inuyasha heard the small growl of a warning coming from the forest making him sigh. "Inuyasha what's wrong?" Kagome asked, with worried eyes. Inuyasha looked at Sesshomaru's figure from the tree line then faced towards the village. "Nothing let's go, hang on." Inuyasha says, as he began to walk back to the village. Kagome nods as she looked back at the sacred tree then lays her head on Inuyasha's shoulder.
