(If you haven't read the Percy Jackson series and the sequels, you may not entirely understand everything that happens. I'll try to explain it, but I'm not the best at it. So, it's better if you read the books first.)
(This is a sort of fan-fiction of Percy Jackson, I'm not really sure if it is exactly one. Anyways, it's about Claire Fields who is a huge fan of Percy Jackson. The time it takes place would be a little after the Trials of Apollo series finishes.)
I ran away from the creature as fast as I could, trying to escape it. No matter how hard I tried, it started catching up to me quickly, the glint of the gold in its horns making it scarier.
This is a normal weekend in my life, running away from monsters and realizing that I was strong enough to face it but too much of a coward.
Sure I didn't expect myself to be like Percy or Annabeth, or any of the Seven, for that matter. Still, I feel like I am the most human-like of everyone in camp, and it sucks.
Before I begin my story, like properly, I'll introduce myself.
My name is Claire Fields and I'm an unidentified 12 year old (hopefully) half-blood, and I live in Camp Half-Blood. I'm not really sure if I'm a half blood since I don't have any cool powers like controlling water and making earthquakes. I'm also a huge fan of Percy Jackson, the literal hero of our camp whom every newbie in our camp learns about and loves. He has saved our camp many many times and is a nice guy. Annabeth is lucky.
Since I'm unidentified I live in the Hermes cabin since Hermes is the god of everything that isn't in the domain of any other god, and roads and anyone who travels on roads. So, they accept all the unidentified people, and by people I mean me...
Everyone else is identified.
I like reading and writing, and I get along pretty well with people. I came to camp when I was 10 and I love it here but I wish I knew who my father or my mother, depending on which on is the god, is.
My story starts when I was around 5. My mom used to take care of me almost always, while my dad seemed to always be at work. Though whenever he was home it was clear he loved me and my mom a lot, and did his best to help mom.
In a year, Dad had a lot more free time all of a sudden and started inviting some of his friends into the house too. (I don't know if he did before, I don't really remember much.) After a few months we started going on road trips more often and sometimes his friends tagged along too.
On my 7th birthday, we were on a road trip and I had fallen asleep, when I heard a loud boom from somewhere a little far away and I couldn't see anything.
After a bit, I woke up and saw a nurse nearby, and a lot of white all around me. I tried to get up and a lady pushed me down, which was rude of her. I asked where I was, and she said I was in a hospital. Then I asked if I was sick, since Mom said that sick people go to hospitals, and they said 'In a way, yes'. Thinking about Mom, I asked where Mom and Dad were, and her expression completely changed. She looked sad and said that she'll tell me later. I really wanted to see Mom and Dad but she didn't look like she wanted to talk more, and I didn't want to annoy her.
I stared at the white ceiling until I fell asleep again. I woke up, and saw Mom and Dad next to me, I asked them 'What took you so long to come here?' Mom looked at me and said, 'We don't have long. There's something you need to know. Ask Uncle Ben about it and stay with him until you can reach camp.'
I said, 'Mom? Aren't we going to go home? And what camp are you talking about?'
Mom said, 'I can't explain everything.'
