Claire Fields' Life is Hard

Chapter 6

(If you haven't read the Percy Jackson series and the sequels, you may not entirely understand everything that happens. I'll try to explain it, but I'm not the best at it. So, it's better if you read the books first.)

Lisa said 'You're a cyclops?'

He replied 'Yeah, is that a problem?'

Lisa said 'Nope. That makes much more sense.'

I asked 'What makes more sense?'

Lisa said 'Never mind.'

Maya said 'The prophecy right?'

Lisa said 'Yeah.'

The cyclops said 'I don't mean to be rude, but can I join you guys?'

Maya said 'I mean four is a-'

Lisa interrupted her 'Yes you can.'

Maya said 'Can we please talk about this?'

Lisa said 'Why?'

Maya replied 'I mean we can't just add him into our group without discussing about it and making sure that it'll be ok.'

Lisa asked 'Why wouldn't it be ok?'

'Because usually, four is an unlucky number to have in a group and usually one of them dies.'

'Well, I think we can make sure none of us die. Besides, what if we need a Cyclops at some point in time.

'Why would we ever need a Cyclops?'

'I don't know, they've like fire-proof powers and water stuff right?'

'Not too much in the water side of things.'

'Yeah, but they're generally children of Poseidon so like it may help us.'

'I guess. Is there something about a cyclops mentioned in the prophecy? I've no idea why else you would be so passionate about letting him in.'

'I mean yeah there's something about the "son of water" in the prophecy.'

'Makes much more sense.'

There was silence for a second and Thomas asked 'Does that mean I'm in?'

Lisa said 'Yes you're in.'

Thomas 'Ok thanks.'

Maya said 'Let's just head on. Well, prophecy girl, where to next?'

I asked 'What happened between the two of you? You guys seemed to get along pretty well, and like you are her satyr and stuff.'

Maya muttered 'Nothing. We're fine.'

Lisa cleared her throat and said 'Well the next line of the prophecy was somewhat with Love we find the Cove, umm what's cove?'

Thomas said 'Well cove actually means a sheltered bay, but I don't think it applies here, so maybe another meaning of it is like a valley at the side of a mountain.'

Lisa said 'Ok thanks-'

Maya interrupted her and said 'How did you know that?'

Thomas said 'I'm fairly certain I read it somewhere.'

Maya replied 'Uh huh.'

There seemed to be some issue between Maya and Thomas as well as Maya and Lisa, what's up with that?

Anyways, we had more important issues at hand.

I asked 'Ok, so basically with Love we have to find a a valley of some sort. Love means Aphrodite yeah?'
