Val and Elena keep asking Elijah more questions but keep getting interrupted by Elena's phone buzzing.
"Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it, please." Elijah pleaded to Elena. Elena picked up her phone to see it was Stefen calling her.
"Stefan...what's wrong? No. No, no, no, no. Okay, I'll be right there." Elena ends the call and looks towards the other two worriedly.
"What's wrong?" Val asked concerned.
"Klaus went after my aunt Jenna. We have to go to her." Elena said referring to her and Val.
"I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement." Elijah said sympathetically.
"She's my family, Elijah. I have to. I'll be back. You have my word." Elena pleads. "That doesn't mean anything to me until you live up to it." He replied. The girls started running to the car.
"Thank you." Valentina shouted. They got in the car and drove straight to the boarding house.

Val and Elena rush into the house, Jenna is waiting in the library. Her eyes are teary.
Elena goes into the library while Val just waits in the living room. Stefen walks up to Val and brings her into a hug.
"Hey, are you ok? Did he hurt you?" He asked the girl concerned.
"We are fine Stefen, don't worry, Elena is just talking to Jenna right now." She replied and they stopped hugging.
"You guys shouldn't of done something like this without us, you guys could of been in danger." He said with a serious face.
"In my defence, I didn't know what Elena was planning, she just dragged me into it without telling me."
Elena then came out of the library and shut the door behind her joining Stefan and Valentina in the living room.
"Is she going to be ok?" Val asked concerned. "She's in shock. I tried to tell her as much as I could, but I barely scratched the surface." Elena said with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry Elena, I hate this." Stefan said feeling guilty.
"It's not your fault, Stefan. It's mine. Anyway...We have to go back to Elijah." Elena said causing Val to nod in agreement but Stefan quickly said, "Wait, what? No, no!."
"Stefan, I promised him that I would return. I can't break that promise." Elena stated.
"Oh" he nods.
"We'll be ok." Val said trying to reassure him. They start to walk to the door to leave.
"Where do you think you are going?" Damon said blocking the doorway so they can't leave.
