The last day

"Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse." Said Elijah. Stefan, Elena, Valentina, Damon and Elijah were all gathered in the living room area of the Boarding house.

Valentina's POV
Being around Stefan was kind of awkward for me after what happened. He kept looking over then looking away making feel anxious if Elena ever found out.

I know I've only known Elena for a while but we have got pretty close so I care about and I don't want her to get hurt.

"Elena said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus." Stefan stated to Elijah. I kinda feel bad for all the supernaturals going out of there way to try and stop the fake curse.

"Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it...He'll be a true hybrid."
I was sat next to Damon on the sofa, leaned back Elena was sat on the one opposite and Stefan and Elijah were both standing up for some reason.

"Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie." I said thinking it will solve our problem, Damon nodded and agreed with what I said.

"No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying." Elena said trying to protect her friend.

"We'll write her a great eulogy." Damon said placing his arm around the back of the sofa touching my back.

"It's not an option, Damon." Elena said giving him the dead eyes making him roll his with annoyance.

"Well I'm going upstairs because I'm not that bothered what happens, no offence. Val, do you wanna join me?" Damon asked staring at me while getting up.

"I will later ok, I care about Lena and I want to help." I said kind of annoyed at him.

"Fine." He said then went to his room.

Stefan rolled his eyes at Damon, Elena looked offended and Elijah looked amused.

"All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asked Elijah. "Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know." He said back.

"The moonstone." I said starting to list off everything he needs.

Elijah then carried on with the list, "A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each."

"And where do I fit into all of it?" Elena asked confused.

"The final part of the ritual." Elijah stated. Elijah then took a wooden box from the shelf.

"Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelgänger...to the point of your death." Elijah said causing me and Elena to gulp at the same time and Stefan getting even more worried.

I look towards Elena with worried eyes and she did the same back. I moved to the other sofa to sit with her and held her hand.

"And that's when you come in?" Elena asked Elijah.

"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." Elijah explained.

"So I'll be dead?" Elena asked scared.

"And then you won't." Elijah replied like it was simple.

"That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" I asked annoyed and worried for Elena's life.

I then looked towards Elena with tears in my eyes. "What if it doesn't work, Elena?" I asked scared.

"Then I guess I'll just be dead." Elena said like it wasn't a big thing. I then looked towards Stefan to see if he was on my side about this, but he just shrugged.
