Damon took Valentina back to the boarding house as he didn't want her to be alone. He got her to sit on the sofa while he poured her a drink.
"How are you feeling." He asked her and knelt down to her so they were eye level.
"I'm fine, I just felt useless, I wanted to help and save Jenna but I couldn't. I wasn't strong enough." Val said sadly.
"Hey it's ok, it's not your fault. I failed. I should of been there and stopped what happened." Damon said stroking her cheek.
"Non of us were prepared for what happened." Val stated and stood up and looked into the fire.
"I was so worried about you." Damon said and walked up to her. "You don't need to worry now, I'm fine." Damon then leant forward placing a kiss on Valentina's head.

Val then without realising wrapped her arms around Damon and leant in and kissed him, he instantly kissed her back enjoying the moment they were sharing. Damon saw Val as his, precious and a beautiful person, inside and out.

She then put her hand near his neck and he hissed. She pulled away confused. "What is it?" She asked looking at him worried.
"It's nothing." He said trying not to make a big deal out of it moving away. "No let me see." Val said and moved his shirt to the side to show a big bite mark.
"Oh my god Damon. What is this?" Valentina asked him worriedly. "So maybe Tyler bit me." He replied like it was ok.
"What! A werewolf bite is fatal!" She yells upset.
"I know." He said looking down. "I can't believe this." She stated with tears in her eyes. Damon brought her into a hug. "I can't lose you Damon, we will figure this out." She told him. He agreed and let the girl hope that there was a way to save him.
