The Mystery man's P.O.V (From chapter 4)

The group has been fighting. Fighting against pain. Fighting against loss. But most of all, fighting against memories.

They seem so strong.

But even the strongest of people can fall. I've seen it myself. They aren't the only ones with painful memories. But even though I've been through more pain, more sorrow, and more painful memories, they are still worse off than me.

And that's because they don't know the truth

The truth.

The truth was the only thing that could bring light. But the truth could also draw a shadow over the light.

I really wanted to tell them the truth. But I couldn't. The truth would be too much for them right now. I can tell that Aaron can regain his memories. He's strong. My only worry is that in the process he might remember me. 

The memory lock I cast over him might have been erased when parts of his memory were consumed while he was a relic.

The truth must be told.

But I can't be the one to tell them. If Aaron's memory lock truly is broken, his mind will heal. His memories of his first life will return to him and his memories of my power will return as well.

Aaron won't die. I know it. He's strong. Almost as strong as me. He can survive. And he might regain his memories.

But if he doesn't...
