I am finally able to post the update. Was a little busy because of college work. Here, Chandni is no princess of the moon, just another human being. I am really excited to know how you feel about Bani. I really hope you enjoy the read.

Made to celebrate love, the gorgeous engagement ring in Jay's hand spoke for itself. It had a beaming round diamond in the centre and smaller diamonds were studded on the thin gold band. The ring had a celebratory sparkle to it, yet it brought no joy to Bani. Her heart sank. Jay was in front of her, on one knee, proposing marriage and where? In the parking lot of the Singhania office.

"Bani tum Adi Naagin ho aur main Adi Naag. Bholenaath ne humara joda banaya hai. Humara milna taiy hai." Jay spoke with such conviction.

Jay was saying something which she already knew. She remembers the connection between Adi Naag and Adi Naagin. Naageshwari had accepted Hriday as her divine counterpart. She was commited to him. But that happened in Satyug. Jay's initiation right now confused her, made her a little anxious as well. She was introduced to Jay by the Pandit of the Naag Mandir not more than two weeks ago. They have not met more than three times and now he wants to marry her? What is he even thinking? Does he realize what this means? How can they make such an important decision of spending their whole life together when they do not know anything about each other? This is real life not any drama, how and why can he think that she will say yes to him.

Veer was right on time. He felt so happy when he saw Bani in the rear view mirror while he parked his car. Bani was standing like a statue and a man was down on one knee asking for her hand. What on earth was going on? Veer recognized that specimen in no time. He was none other than the one, the only Jay Mathur. The Dhaabewala who owned Silver Moon restaurant. What is Jay trying to do? Bani obviously has more important work, why would she give a damn about Jay? Veer suddenly doubled himself up and burst into a harsh crackle of laughter. Jay has to stop day dreaming. Bani is way out of his league. He found the scene in his rear view mirror so amusing. Dhaabewala is such a cartoon character.

Bani saw Veer walking towards them. She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe. She had no idea how Veer is going to react to whatever is going on. She had no idea how she is going to react to everything that is going on. She needed some time to collect her thoughts. She is not able to figure out what can she say to Jay. She does not want to say yes but how is she going to handle the situation?

The laughter evaporated from Veer's eyes. His customary warmth gone faster than summer rain on the tarmac. Now his focus shifted on the engagement ring in Jay's hand. Everything else had become invisible to him. Jay is proposing marriage to Bani? Is he her boyfriend? Is she going to say yes?Veer's blood drained and heart hammered erratically. He was exasperated with the thought of Bani being in a relationship with someone, anyone. Let alone this excuse of a man. Jay had crossed some invisible line, offended Veer's sensibilities.

"Koi mujhe bataaega yahaan kaunsi nautanki chal rahi hai?" Veer had an extreme urge to break the hand which offered an engagement ring to Bani but he controlled himself. He knew better.

"Nautanki nahi hai Veeranshu Singhania, mera aur Bani ka personal matter hai. Tum beech mein naa hi pado toh achha hoga." Jay tried to step forward, near Bani but Veer stopped him. He covered her like a human shield. Bani was mentally preparing herself to send Jay away.

"Tch Tch Tch Tch Tch... Tum kuch bhi karlo Jay Mathur, Dhabewaale thhe, Dhaabewaale ho aur humesha Dhaabewale hi rahoge. Tumhara matter personal kaise ho sakta hai? Tum jahaan khade ho woh meri property hai, tum jisse baat kar rahe ho woh meri employee hai aur yeh meri employee  ke working hours hai. Agar apni khairiyat chahte ho toh chup chaap yahaan se chale jaao." Veer warned Jay and looked at Bani. She has to say something.
