I stared at Percy. I was shocked. Then I was worried.
"Oh... I'm so sorry, Percy. We have to find her," I encouraged.
Percy nodded in my arms.
"Can I get up now?" He asked. "I'm feeling better."
"Oh," I said simply. I let go and the both of us stood up. Our friends came over to us.
"Where are we going to start looking?" Jason asked.
Percy's expression became grim. He shrugged. "She could be anywhere," he said.
"Did you look for any hints?" I asked.
Percy pondered the question for a moment. He shook his head no.
"Oh, Seaweed Brain! You have to see if whoever took your mother left any clues."
The seven of us looked around the room. We lifted things and looked under them. We moved stuff. Nothing but a ball of fur.
"What do we do?!" Percy exclaimed worriedly. "This fur could belong to any monster... Or creature."
"I'm guessing it's a hellhound. So she was possibly taken back to the underworld by Hades," I concluded.
Everyone looked at me.
"What?" I asked.
They looked away and Leo started whistling.
"You're a genius!" Percy yelled. He ran and hugged me. "Thanks, Wise Girl."
He turned to the rest of the group.
"Alright guys, we're on a journey... To the underworld."
