"something bad is gonna happen", sero announces to the bakusquad.
all of them give him questioning looks.
except denki, who's... distracted.
"haven't you seen for yourselves?", he raises his eyebrow and smacks his forehead with his hand. "shinso is smiling!"
many eyes trail towards the purple boy in surprise. he is, in fact, smiling.
bakugou looks a bit surprised at first, though he tchs and turns away as if he didn't care about it.
kirishima, who is seating beside bakugou, grins and sends mina a knowing smirk.
mina nods smirking and turns to kaminari, who is still spacing out.
sero is just confused and a bit freaked out.
"oi pikachu", bakugou snaps him out of his trance. "you like control freak now? or what"
everyone's eyes widen and turn to look at a very flustered denki.
"shut up kaccan!", he teases back with wide eyes. he slightly turns his head to see if shinso heard but is soon met with a spaced out smiling shinso.
denki unconsciously smiles too.
mina and kirishima 'aw' extremely loud while bakugou smirks. sero still looks confused.
"...wait, you're gay?", sero asks.
they all turn to him ready to smack his face.
denki sighs. "i'm bi dude, i thought i made that clear last year", he points to the bisexual flag on his bag.
sero nods and apologizes. bakugou smacks his head anyway.
"so what happened yesterday?", mina smirks.
denki feels his cheeks heat up. "nothing!"
kirishima rolls his eyes playfully. "dude, we know you two were together, you make too much noise in the kitchen"
bakugou nods with an angry expression, mina smirks before walking away.
sero follows mina to wherever she's headed to.
"so when are you going to confess?", kirishima asks casually.
"wh-what?! confess!? dude! what the shit-"
"hiya! we're back with a new member!", mina chirps in with a smug look.
sero follows behind her with shinso by his side.
shinso gives them confused looks.
"new member? to what?", he mutters.
kirishima and bakugou give each other knowing looks.
sero and mina push shinso beside denki.
"hey denki...", shinso has a small smile on his face.
denki smiles back. "hey toshi"
mina squeals while sero's eyes widen.
"you guys are already on the first name basis?"
both of them flush and look away.
"i told him to call me that!", denki quickly says.
shinso nods beside him.
bakugou rolls his eyes in annoyance. "whatever, this is the first and last warning to keep down your voices at 2 fucking am, or else i-"
kirishima nudges him on his stomach before covering his mouth with his hand.
he looks back at the two apologetically.
after that, they both leave for class.
mina and sero give each other a smug grin before winking at denki, who's cheeks turn red once again.
they both leave winking very obviously at the pair.
there's a silence before shinso turns his head towards denki.
"what's with them?", he asks.
denki shrugs. "they're always like that"
shinso nods. "...so am i part of the bakusquad now?"
denki grins. "of course toshi! they all like you!"
shinso smiles and nods.
he's forgotten how good it felt to smile.
and how good it felt to be happy.
