Chapter 1- The train

Y/n's POV

I woke up to the sound of rain pouring out. As cleché as that sounds I woke up and got ready for the day. Today my sister Blair and I are going to platform 9 3/4 to board the train to Hogwarts. It'll be my 5th year attending that school.

I wonder how everyone's been. I haven't heard from my friends this whole summer because my mom practically prohibited me from communicating with anyone this summer. The reason for that was because she wanted me to focus and do my summer studies and some work a head of time before school, and she wanted me to not get distracted at all.

When I finished up getting ready my mom walked in and said, " Y/n are you ready, c'mon let's go we're just waiting an your sister." "Yeah I am don't worry mom I'll just wait outside for her." I said.

As I was walking out I tripped on something. "Ah ouch!" the thing I tripped on said. "Oops sorry Fousey." I apologized. Fousey he's our house elve he's very bipolar but he gets things done.

"You should watch where your going master." He said in an angry tone. I just brushed it off and carried on going outside.

"I'm here, I'm here! Let's go." Blair said fixing her headband. Then we apparated to the train.

When I was about to step in the train I heard three oh so familiar voices shout out my name. "Y/N!" I turn my head to see who they are and as I guessed it, my three senseless crackheads.

Tamsin, Violet, and Florence. They then all started attacking me with hugs. They started picking me up and "woah woah woahhhh calmmm down!" I said in between my laughs.

After all the laughter and excitement finally put me down. "We really missed you Y/n!"they started chanting. "Ghhhhharhhhh and I missed you guys too!" I said pulling them into a big tight hug.

"Tell us about your summer!" Violet said. "Yeahh yehahh lets get in the train first." I said.

We then got seated into an empty compartment. I closed the door behind me and the train started running.

"So how was you all's summer?" I asked. "It was amazing, but very boring without you." Tamsin said.

"We also really missed you and kinda sorta make a cardboard cut out of you." Florence said lowly. They made a cardboard cut out of me?!?! So cute.

"Well it's alright I would've done the same for you guys." I said. "No you wouldn't you would find a way to track us down just to his us despite the trouble you would get into." Violet said. We all then burst into laughter.

"Hey guys I need the restroom I'll be right back." I said. They nodded and I closed the door behind me.

As I was walking down the pathway to the restroom I noticed how quiet the train was. The train had a soothing feeling. I got lost in my thoughts.

Until I bumped into someone they fell and they just got out of their compartment. "Watch where you're-" the person said but I completely cut them off by saying " I'm sorry, omg I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I am really truly-" I said helping them up. "It's okay." He cut me off.

I looked at who it was and.... it was non other than Tom Marvolo Riddle. I'm guessing he recognized me too, when he saw who it was his expression froze. I know me and Tom are known as 'enemies' I guess you can say, but we used to be the best of friends back in our first year.

I knew that there was something about him that I just couldn't get out of my head. I looked at him, but I really looked at him. He looks so hot. I can see why all the girls fight over him. As I started to get flustered about how fucking hot he looks I started to feel my face heat up.

"Is there something in my face Waldorf?" He said snapping me back to reality. I was definitely staring for too damn long. "Oh- uhm no ... nothing at all. Have a great day." I said as I walked straight to the restroom.

OMG. What is wrong with me he's going to get suspicious of why I was being nice to him. We're normally such assholes to each other. I mean it is a new year so people can 'change' right?

I finished using the restroom and went back to my compartment. "Hey what's got you all red?" Florence said. Oh shoot I was still blushing from earlier.

"I- I um bumped into someone." I said. "Ouoooo Y/n falling for someone well thats unexpected I mean given the fact that your so focused on schoolwork." Violet said.

"It's fineee let the girl live a little." Tamsin said.
"So who is it." Florence said smiling tapping me trying to get me to tell them.

"It.. it was um... Tom." I said lowly. "Well shit." Violet said impressed. They all started laughing. I on the other hand was blushing harder than a tomato.

" I did not peg you as the bad boy type Waldorf." Florence said. "What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Y/n literally the whole school is afraid of him. Haven't you ever suspected that while you guys were like 'enemies'?" Violet said.

"No actually I didn't at all." I said and we all laughed.

Florence then took out a cigarette, lighted it up, and took turns smoking it with Tamsin and Violet. Violet then offered it to me but I declined. I wasn't that type of person to smoke and drink. Those three on the other hand are complete opposites.

They along with Tom's friend group are know in school as the 'scary badass' ones, and I'm known as the responsible one.

Throughout the whole ride we caught up with each other and after that I fell asleep.

"Y/n! Wake up we're here now." Florence said. We then got our belongings and went to the boat and stepped in Hogwarts.

I share a room with Florence, Violet, and Jenny Humphrey. Jenny and my sister had some kind of feud last year hopefully it didn't last. We were all Slytherin's. Meanwhile, Tamsin shares a room with Tom, Abraxas, and Maxence.

We stepped into Hogwarts and headmaster Dippet directed all 5th years and up to head to their dorms. We all did exactly that.

Violet, Florence, and I all went to our room together. I decided to claim the bed nearest to the desk and wall, so I was away from everyone.

We noticed that Jenny was already there so I greeted her. "Hey Jenny." I said smiling. She gave me a smile and wave back.

We all unpacked and settled. Jenny and I had a small talk catching up, after that we all fell asleep because it was already 10 minutes past curfew.
