"okay so i couldn't decide which flavors to get but i got all the chocolate chips. normal, mint-" evie stopped as soon as she saw phoebe with a white silky dress and black leather jacket. she dropped all their galentine's day necessities as her jaw dropped.

"well where are you going?" phoebe turned to her friend, her eyes widened. she forgot to tell her that she'd have to cancel their usual valentine's day plans. she was there when mira told them she couldn't make it, so why'd she forget?

the brunette placed the necklace she was going to put on back to her dresser, "shit don't be mad, let me explain." evie took a seat on her bed, her hands folded on her knee.

"wait let me first guess," she had one finger up, stopping phoebe from talking. "jack got the balls to ask you out didn't he?" a teasing grin appeared on her face with her eyebrows raised.

even though they said they were going as friends, a dinner on valentines day would be looped into the same category as a date. "yeah, more or less." she told the blonde, a small smile lingering on her face.

"uGH YES! jonah owes me ten bucks now." evie pumped her fist as she stood up.

"don't tell me you placed bets-"

"we placed bets." she informed her, "at game night at daniel's house."

phoebe narrowed her eyes, "that was like 2 weeks ago."

"i know." evie nodded proudly, "and those mothertruckers picked the wrong girl to gamble with." she picked up the bag of ice creams and sweets she originally brought for the two of them, "i'm bringing these to jonah's now."

a suspicious look on her face, phoebe asked, "jonah doesn't have plans tonight?"

the blonde shook her head, "mans grieving 'cause he was rejected by she-who-shall-not-be-named-for-now." the news surprised her, she thought for sure they were at least talking.

"but now he'll have me to annoy him and he'll be glad he didn't have a date tonight."

"and you like annoying him," phoebe laughed while evie nodded her head. "so he'll be annoyed and depressed, what a lucky guy." she teased.

"hey and he gets me plus ice cream and candy. he should be glad he was rejected not gonna lie."

"i'm sure he'll be thrilled." phoebe responded in a slightly sarcastic tone, both of them laughing. evie then left and she was glad she had jonah to bug or else she'd feel bad for ditching. but now she had her own plans to tend to before jack would come to her driveway.

around 8:10 was when jack rang the doorbell. luckily for them, they were both running late and 10 minutes didn't harm anyone. jack wore a white, oversized designer t-shirt with an oversized, black acid wash denim jacket on top. he had basic black jeans which he paired with his black and white nike blazers.

phoebe opened the door, a smile on her face at the sight of him. "wow." jack said immediately, looking at the girl in front of him.

she was wearing black, ankle-strapped heels with her outfit. "i couldn't find my air forces." she said, her lips pressed together, unsatisfied.

"i think they're in my car." jack laughed. 2 days ago they went to the beach and phoebe must've forgotten them after changing into flip flops.

"ugh yes please." she said, closing the front door behind her. after dinner she definitely planned on changing into them as soon as she could.

"well you look amazing." he told her as they walked to the car. a small blush formed on her cheeks as she walked over to her side.

"and you're looking pretty good yourself too avery." phoebe laughed, getting to her seat while jack did the same. they played their music softly in the background while phoebe told him about her day.
