It was about sun-high when Mudstar and her sister Goldenfur went out hunting. "Mudstar, I know your leader and all, but if I were you I wouldn't trust that dog pack," she meowed.
"And why shouldn't I?" Mudstar meowed back.
"You know when we were kits, are mother told us that story about the two cats who got chased by those dogs?" Goldenfur asked.
"Of course," Mudstar meowed.
"Well what if it happened again! You could loose a live! They might kill kits..." Goldenfur yowled. Mudstar saw Astride walking to them. She flicked her tail to tell Goldenfur to 'Shut Up' but it was to late. Goldenfur turn around to see Astride a fox-tail away. With Goldenfur's luck Astride had heared everything. She growled at Goldenfur and she ran away screaming. Mudstar stared at her with a suprise look on her face. Astride sighed, "I'm soo sorry," she barked. Mudstar stood there not saying a word, but she blinked and smile.
A day later Mudstar, Oakfur, Astride, and her friend Sparks was walking by the lake, when Mudstar jump into the water! Oakfur knew that she would be ok, she was knowed for her underwater breath holding, she could hold her breath what seemed like a moon! But poor Astride was scared out of her mind! "Mudstar!" she barked. She dove in the water after her. Mudstar popped her head above the water, "Hahaha," Mudstar laughed.
"It seems I'm caught up in all these cat rumors myself!" Astride told Mudstar. All day Mudstar and Astride had fun together! Mudstar tried to teach Astride to fish... Well tried... "How do the fish know I'm here!" Astride howled.
"Because you're look too deep into the river!" Mudstar told her.
Astride showed Mudstar when her pack like to do for fun, witch was chasing deer, making Mudstar runed over, like alot. But they both had a good time. Mudstar haven't felted so happy in her life, she finnaly found a perfect friend.
