about it and he just ends up venting to you about it

Overhaul recently has been acting off, he usually doesn't act this distant from you, nor does he get so worked up about the little things the other members do, and the only person who has managed to calm him down in the past, hasn't seen him in awhile. You think that it might be because of all of the stress hes been under recently, and it most definately has been hard for him the past couple of weeks. He hasn't gotten much sleep and if he does its only a couple hours.

You have been on missions back and forth and this is the first true time you've noticed it, even Chrono Complained about your boyfriends behavior. Of course, not to you directly, but you might have been eavesdropping into his and rappas conversation. You had never thought that the leader of the Shie Hissaikai, no your boyfriend Chisaki Kai would ever let the stress get to him. So you decided to pay him a visit later in the day. Or an unplanned one at that.

It was 5 in the morning, you had been waken up by a loud bang in the room next to yours, which was overhauls. You walked out of your room, closing the door behind you and walking to your boyfriends room. There was a banging noise inside, kind of like someone was frustrated. So being the nosy and worried person you are, you opened the door, your eyes flew over to your lover, not wearing a shirt or gloves, nor a mask. It was honestly weird to see him in this state. All you could see was his grabbing at his head and mumbling to himself slightly as he sat on the side of the bed that was the farthest away from you, his back still turned seeming that he hadn't noticed your presence quite yet.

He was sniffling, his room was clean beside the bedside table that was ripped to shreds, his hands didnt have gloves on them and his mask was thrown across the room as small tear drops made their way to the floor where you couldnt see them. His hands tugging on his hair as he was deep in thought, not noticing any of his surroundings.

You walked up to overhaul, putting your warm hand on his back, sniffles kept escaping his throat as he looked back at you with wide eyes. Due to not knowing you were there.

"W-wha- What are you doing here Y/n!" His voice was nothing but a whisper, his choking back all if his tears, thinking you would leave the room once you saw. "I heard loud bangs and crying from my room hun," Kai's expression had changed completely, to shocked, to ashamed, then to this sort of sadness and relief that you were with him and alright. "It-" "Dont say its nothing Chisaki.." He stiffened under your serious yet concerned gaze, he had never heard you say his last name before, even when you were just a new member here you refused to call him chisaki when he asked. This meaned you were truly not letting him, there wasnt any outs from this.

"It...was a dream Y/n, theres no need to be concerned about something as small and fragile as this dear, just dont worry.." his voice had gained a bit more volume from when he last spoke, confidence regaining itself within being in your presence already.

"Chisaki dear, if it was just a dream your bedside table wouldn't have faced the fate it had, and you wouldnt be crying...what happened..." your voice was calm, but had a huge amount of concern in it. You hated seeing him like this, it never happens, infact this is the first time you had seen him even show sadness, it was kind of overwelming in a way.

He started to sniffle once again, his eyes tearing up as you gently held his hand and rubbed his back in calming circles.
"What happened hun..." you let out in a whisper as he looked at your now glossy eyes and then at the ground. "Y...you died." Your eyes widened slightly as you heard what he had said, hugging  him instantly for comfort.

"I...i killed you... i didnt mean too...it was like i was watching a t-v...instead of eri i was using you an-" "shhh hun...calm down a bit" you understood how he felt, you too had had that dream every now and them, and not just about him. About everyone you've ever loved. And past memories rushing back into your dreams."im sorry...im so sorry.." he wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his head into the crook of your neck as he cried softly, sniffling as his tears soaked the shoulder and neck of your oversized f/c turtle neck.

"I'm alive, im here now, dont worry, im fine" you smiled softly as his tight grip around you loosened by a lot, him feeling a wave of relief washing over him as you started and continued to rub circles on his back, making him calm down a lot more than he was. A sigh of relief left his mouth as he felt you kiss his forehead with love, something about the way you had handled him, held him and everything, felt so, calm, and relaxing, like all of the pain go away so swiftly.

"Baby....can you sleep in here for tonight..? I'll wakr you up when i wake up since i wake up before everyone...so please....stay..." his words were softer than usual, like he was genuine, like he wanted you to not go away. "Il stay baby boy... just wake me up okay?" You smiled at him as he looked up from the crook of your neck. "Thank...thank you"

You layed back slowly as he fell back with you, his grip never leaving you, one of his legs were ontop of yours, making you stay in place. His eyes closing slowly as small huffs start to leave his mouth, seemingly because he fell asleep, and he was feeling as ease one again.

And soon you did too, your eyes fluttering closed as you listened to his steady breathing, it was calming to you.

And then, you fell asleep, your dreams pleasant as he held you.
