Chapter 5

Chibi-Chan!!

"Three games," She panted laying in the grass after their final punishment run, "WE ONLY ONE THREE GAMES!!" she yelled out into the night sky, but she wasn't mad. She was tired and hungry and that always made her cranky.

"That's still better than no games," Daichi said "and tomorrow we will win even more" he said encouragingly, as the team collected themselves to go to the mess hall. 

She stayed flayed out on the ground like a star fish, "Just go on without me I'll catch up with you guys later. Just toss me one of those cheese things" Suga chuckles and tossed a baby bell cheese snack which landed on her stomach. "Yes!!" She cheered but stayed the way she was before opening it and nibbling the cheesy goodness to tired to even use her hand. She waved them off and they all chuckled leaving her in the grassy field under the stars. 

"Stars look so much different over here," she said quietly to herself.

"What cha looking at Chibi-Chan?" The sound of a deep voice startled her in her spot and she turned her head seeing the team captain from Nekoma was standing a few feet away from her, along with Bokuto.

"Hi Owl, Hi Rooster!" She tired to talk through her cheesy snack and sat up lazily. "I believe I'm looking at Orion but I could be mistaken." She rested back on her arms and looked over at them patting the grass next to her. "You just going to stand there like creeps or sit with me like gentleman."

"I never said I was a gentle man," Kuroo smirked and sat next to her "I'm Kuroo I don't think we have been introduced other than some snide comments on the court."

"I told you she was feisty and cheeky on the court," Bokuto said shoving her shoulder gently with his where she pretended to fall back into the grass.

"Oh no I've been struck by a fatal blow," She fake cried "Good by cruel world may thy light shine upon me once again perhaps in another life!" She pretended to faint but peeked when she heard them both laughing.

"Get up here you goof it looks like we killed you out here." Kuroo and Bokuto helped her sit up. "Your taller up close than you are on the court." He chuckled again getting a good look at her up close.

"Ugh don't say that I'm tired of being tall," she sighed plucking the grass, "no one like the tall girl." She started weaving the glass strands together.

"Well we think you are pretty cute and badass on the court," Kuroo said watching her nimble and strong fingers delicately make a little ring.

"YEAH!!" Bokuto shouted "The way you were all over the court in an instant, you even blocked me! ME!!" Hey laughed and ruffled her hair.

She laughed and shoves away his hand and ruffled his hair in revenge, it was softer than she thought it would be. "What position do you play anyway?"

"Oh I'm a universal player" she flicked the ring into the grass and looked at Kuroo "I play any and every position on the court." 

"That's impossible there is no way you could be that good," Bokuto said as Kuroo agreed.

"Well its true that Kageyama's sets are amazing and Hinata is the fastest one on the court and Noya," She rambled on about her great teammates. "but they can't do it alone, if Kageyama can't set I'll be there, and if a spike gets past our wall you bet your asses I'll be there." She said her eyes glowing with determination under the moonlight.

"Then I guess that makes you a formidable foe!" Bokuto said sounding like a hero coming across his arch nemesis for the first time.

"Indeed I'll have to keep my eyes on you," Kuroo said suggestively "Speaking of eyes. Do you by chance have the purple eye syndrome?"
