HEY HEY HEY!
~~~~~
Taki hummed eating her chocolate swirl cone. They found a small park near bye and decided to eat there since it was rude to eat and walk at the same time in Japan. Since she couldn't swing her legs she just wiggled them from side to side on the ground doing a kind of happy dance.
Bokuto was also very invested in his ice cream as well, It was hard to get his attention when there was food involved. Kuroo watched them smiling as he ate his popsicle. If it were just him and Bokuto he might have done something suggestive but he didn't want to scare off their new date.
"Your guys' customs still throw me for a loop sometimes," She leaned back on the bench watching the other people in the park. "It makes America look like a landfill."
Everyone walked around so casually, they all seemed to be in couples, except a few kids who ran about here and there. People stopped to eat their food or to light a cigarette. It was so clean and even in places it wasn't there was always someone picking up the trash, city worker of not. They wanted to keep their home beautiful and calming.
Kuroo chuckled and Bokuto was staring at Taki's uneaten cone, to which she moved it out of the way so he couldn't reach it. "I've only heard stories about America or seen pictures it still looks like an enchanting place to be." She put his arm behind her on the bench.
"Oh don't get me wrong it does have some beautiful places." She smiled taking another bite of her ice cream, yes she bites not licks ya nasties. "But they don't have the same grace as you guys its like comparing an elegant tea cup to a coffee mug. They both do the same job but they have their separate occasions and classes."
Bokuto nodded finishing off his cone and copying Kuroo putting his arms on top of his. They both understood what she was saying but to them she was the most priceless tea cup on the market. She may be clumsy sometimes but on the court she moved with purpose no move was wasted.
"The sun is going down we should probably head back before Suga and Daichi murder us." Kuroo said standing stretching his limps out on the bench.
Taki nodded and finished off her ice cream which resulted in a brain freeze. She scrunched her nose and let out a little whine/grunt. She felt warm fingers on her temples massaging them helping her brain freeze go away. Bokuto smiled ruffling her hair afterwards, she reminded him of a kitten grumpy and cute.
They helped he up from the bench and she stretched getting the cold of the ice cream out of her system. They each took one of her hands again and started walking back to the hotel chatting about whatever came to mind. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a red ball bounce into the street.
Kuroo and Bokuto didn't seem to see it but she did, she turned to see a little boy running carelessly after it into the road. She shook off the boys hands and sprinted toward the boy. To her right she could see a car fast approaching. She was going to make it she had to at least save the kid. She took one last leaping step cradling the boy within her large frame and protecting him as she rolled out of the way.
She gritted her teeth and closed her eyes waiting for the impact as she heard the sound of tires screeching on the road. She didn't even hear the terrified mother screaming for her son or her two lovely dates yelling her name from the side of the road. She felt the pavement dig into her skin and back as she held the boy close in a curled position it was the safest for both of them. She opened her eyes to see the car had barely missed them and had swerved to the side
Bokuto ran over to her once the traffic had for sure stopped and Kuroo was yelling at the driver of the car. He was about to beat the living crap out of him for his neglect to the road. Taki ignored them both and let go of the boy checking him for any injuries as the mom rushed over doing the same. The mother looked at Taki bowing and apologizing profusely, but her ears where still ringing from the adrenaline.
