"What task is assigned to you this time?" Jisoo asked. We're taking our break at the rooftop of a building. I like it here because I could always watch how people's life progress from below. At first, it was just me hanging out there but when I met Jisoo and Chaeyoung, they were always tagging along with me and it somehow became our rest place.

"They haven't given me yet. Maybe I'll have one tomorrow," I shrugged. When it's my early days as a ghost, I didn't expect that we have some tasks we need to complete while wandering around. I thought the tasks we have to complete had something to do to help us go up there and be reincarnated in another life but I was wrong. Those tasks are somehow nonsense. It's like playing truth or dare but it's only 'dare or dare'. Well, at least they're not giving us tasks we cannot do.

"Okay. I still can't believe the fact that we're doing these dares or rather 'tasks'" she quoted. "to keep us moving in this world when it has nothing to do in going up there, tsk," she shook her head.

I chuckled. "What's your dare? Oh, I mean task."

"It's pretty simple. They just asked me to create a song about the food I want to eat right now," she says her eyes glistening while recalling what she did.

"So I composed an on-the-spot song about chicken skewers. Do you want to hear it?" She asks but she didn't even let me answer her question because she already started.

"I want to eat some chicken skewers, they even sell pizza, they also sell hamburgers~" I frowned at her. How are pizza and hamburgers related to chicken skewers? Jisoo and her mind. Whew.

Her face lit up after she sang and continued to tell what happened. "And you know what? The High Souls are really amazed at my song. They said they want to hear more from me! Oh my god. Maybe I could gain my fame again here in Ghosts world as a singer," she dreamily says.

The High Souls are the highest among all the ghosts. In other words, they're the leaders as we call them. They've been wandering on earth for a long time and that made the other ghosts come to respect them. I don't know why they're showing their admiration at them when they can't even leave the earth and reincarnate but I guess, we don't know what their stories are. The High Souls as the gossip says consists of four girls and five boys. They're also admired because they have some abilities the normal ghosts don't have. I haven't seen all of them at once. I only met a few but they're fun to be with. There's no such thing as high or low. They treat us equally.

The tasks are also created by them. They say one time, one of the High Souls is bored so to kill his boredom, he asked one of his friends to play with him. At first, they called it 'dare or dare' as what the mortals play but eventually, they call it tasks because why not? 'Tasks' is a good alternative word.

"Where's Chaeyoung by the way?" I asked and she snorts.

"Do I look like you can find someone if you ask me?" I glared at her so she wave her hands dismissively.

"Okay okay. Chaeyoung went to do her task. I don't know where she went. I don't care," Jisoo crosses her arms and lifts her chin up.

"Do you mean she went like went went?" I furrowed my brows. It's the first time their tasks require going away. It's usually only held at the High Souls' lair. Maybe they have their games up.

I stood up and tried to jump off the building again when Jisoo stopped me.

"You're really making me worried you'll be double dead if you jump off this building."

"Oh, c'mon Jisoo don't be such a pussy. What's the purpose of being a ghost if we can't do freely what we want such as jumping off. We can't be double dead anyways," my lips curve upward, and offered my hand to her.

"Let's go?" She nodded and we let our souls flow through the air as we jump. Perks of being a ghost 101, we can let our body float in the air if we want to.

"Wooh!" She shouted. "I love being a ghost!" From a scaredy-cat Jisoo to this Jisoo in front of me now, she's really something.

We let our bodies flow into the air until we landed infront of a building.

Jisoo glances at me and the building in front.

"This building again?" She questions then a memory popped into her and gave me a knowing smile.

"You'll visit Lisa again I think," she smirks.

We passed through the wall and blended through the people in the elevator. We didn't bother waiting again in the parking lot because it was already past noon. For sure she's in her office already busying herself. I wish she could just take her time off and rest for a day but being Lisa, she won't do that. And I also know a fact that she's doing that to stop thinking of something.

She's doing that to stop thinking of me.

If this happened in a normal time, I would've had my cheeks in crimson red because the thought of her thinking of me is making my heart bounce but it's not the time to feel that feeling again because I'm not physically there with her anymore.

I saw her still infront of her laptop with her reading glasses on. She still looks hot even though I could see tiny bits of dark circles under her eyes. I bet she hasn't gotten her sleep last night. I heard from Seulgi earlier that they've gotten some huge contracts with some companies and they're really doing their best to impress them.

That's my girl.

I remember the old times when she's still constantly pursuing me even though I don't give any shits on everything she does. She didn't give up until I said yes to her. A smile tugged on my lips.

"She's not doing anything yet here you are, smiling and blushing like a teenager who saw her crush for the first time," Jisoo whispered behind me which made me jump off from her while holding my chest.

"Jisoo!" I scolded her but this dork laughed it off and now she couldn't even stop herself from rolling on the floor still laughing.

"I hope your stomach aches from that," I mumbled and went closer to Lisa.

A knock from the door interrupted Jisoo's moment of happiness. Lisa just uttered a small 'come in' and the door opened revealing a girl. I don't know her. She must be one of her employees.

The girl shyly walks to Lisa's desk with papers in her grip. Lisa was still busy typing when the girl cleared her throat. Lisa lifts her head and with a serious expression, asks the girl why.

"Here are the papers you asked for me yesterday, ma'am," with her small voice, she handed the papers to Lisa.

Lisa nodded and signaled her to place it beside her and continued her focus on the laptop. The girl turned her back to the door but before she leaves, she called her boss again without honorifics this time.

"Lisa?" She called and Lisa lifts her head to look at her.

Why is she calling my girlfriend's name? When did they become close? She's her boss for fucks sake and so is Seulgi but the difference is it's my first time seeing her.

"Do you have anything to say, Mina?" Lisa asks. So, Mina is the name of the girl.

Gone was the shy girl earlier. Her expressions change to a determined one.

"I know you still haven't moved on and I know no one could ever replace her in your heart but I'm still hoping you could open your heart again and give us a try," Jisoo gasps as she glances at me and back to Lisa.

"What a brave girl. She didn't even know Lisa's girlfriend is here," she mumbled. I motioned her to shut up but who am I kidding. "-but as a ghost, if I may say," she added.

I turn to Lisa but her face is neutral. I couldn't read her. She didn't utter any word until Mina broke the silence.

"I'm sure I confessed it all to you last week when we had our team dinner but you didn't give me an answer. If you're still not ready, I'm willing to wait," her face softens and with that final remark, she slightly bowed at her and left the office.

Lisa was left alone. Her gaze fell and she took a deep breath.
