3rd POV:
A few days after the incident when Recca was born, it was currently night, the children were in their shared room sleeping soundly as the adults discussed about something in another room.
The said children's mother and grandmother we're discussing ,suddenly Akira (reader's grandmother) sighed and spoke,
"Mistress Reina is really arrogant! Just because her son is the leader on the line!" and she sighed again,
"I'm pretty sure Reina is only doing it because he doesn't want his son to be replaced" Kagerō responded calmly defending Reina despite of the commotion she started.
"Mhm I've been wanting to ask since your first born, (Y/n) will be a right hand for Kurei when he finally becomes a leader, what do you have in thoughts for your boy, Recca?" asked Akira,
"I could only want Recca to be a normal boy and live a normal life, it would be a big responsibility if he also took a big part on our council, it might be too much for- well both of them.. but I can't do anything since (Y/n) is already assigned to be Kurei's right hand..." again responded Kagerō as she had a solemn tone because of the fate of her first born, Akira only nodded 'such a good mother only deciding what's good for her children...'
It was pure silence but was broken by Recca crying, Kagerō went to the room where her children slept, in thoughts that Recca had woken up because he was hungry, when she opened the door to the room she could've sworn that she saw something emit a light from the futon her baby was in, when she moved the blanket, she was shocked.
Kagero POV:
As I lowered the blanket to grab Recca, (Y/n) shifted in her sleep causing me to look as she moved not realizing that I had already lowered Recca's blanket, when I turned my head back to my youngest I was in shock,
His right hand, in his small hands emit a bright red flame, 'No, no, no, no, no!', I stare at the flame, remembering what Papa had said, "Kagero, please do know, that if another child that bears flame- to be specific, a boy, within this generation is to be born, it's a bad omen, having two male heirs signifies something bad for our clan if both would live."
I held Recca in shock as he kept crying, it had woken up (Y/n), I could feel she was also shocked when she saw the flame emitting from her baby brother's hand.
(Y/n) POV:
I woke up as Recca cried and cried, when I sat up and faced him I saw that mother was also there holding him, but why didn't she shush him? As my eyes opened wider I realized something was emitting from Recca's hand.
A flame?.. but I thought only the heir could bear them? Yeah I bore a flame myself but it was fine since I'm an Heiress, Kurei-nee's right hand but Recca-.. Why did he also bear a flame?.. was something wrong? mother held Recca stunned, I don't know what to do at that current moment so I just went to hug mother.
Something was clearly bothering her, I don't know what it is but I can feel that it's something big, then I remembered something I read about in one of our clan's history book; 'Two male heir's, when in one generation, two male child bearing a flame are born, one must be executed as they mean Bad Omen, according to research, if none of the heir's are executed, it could lead to a tragedy in the clan.'
My eyes widen in fear as I realized..
"A bad omen.."
Additional Information:
~In every generation if a girl is born into the clan that bears a flame she is an Heiress, if there is already an Heir in the line, she will become the Heir's right hand.
~When the council found out about another flame bearing boy they immediately requested a meeting, to discuss about an execution.
