Tragedy

Execution

3rd POV:

   The meeting was held in the Leader's estate, The clan leader, the council, Mistress Reina, Kagero, Kurei, (Y/n) and Recca were all present.

   "Master Resshin why is this meeting held for? is it really that important?", 

Resshin replied,

   "yes infact , it's an urgent one." 

then, he looked towards (Y/N), Kurei with Reina and Kagerō who was holding Recca.

(Y/N) POV:

   A meeting was held three nights after we found out that Recca bore a flame,  father said it was really important then, grandfather spoke,

   "this meeting was held because of Resshin and Kagerō's newborn baby he has something that surprised us". 

  everyone was silent but, that silence was broken by someone asking,

"if I may ask my lord what is it?"

It was Aunt Reina, to which grandfather responded,

"it was discovered that Recca also bears flame powers".

Aunt Reina' eyes widen in shock as she exclaimed,

"TWO MALE HEIRS?! BUT THAT'S KNOWN TO BE BAD OMEN TO THE CLAN!", 

Everyone then gave Aunt Reina time to calm down before they started another statement,

"we know that having two mail heirs is bad omen, Reina, this has happened not only this time but it was also known that generations before us had this situation".

said grandfather opening the topic again,

"the only solution is to execute one of the male heirs".

Said Aunt Reina pointing to Recca who was being held by mom, this angered me, how dare she point her finger at my brother

"and he has to be the one to die because my son has already been decided to be the next heir"

she continues holding Kurei-nee close to her. At this point my blood was boiling I then smiled veins popping out of my face as I looked at Aunt Reina,

"Aunt Reina, don't you think it's better if we let the council decide about this? Just because it was settle then that Kurei-nee was going to be the next leader doesn't mean that you should take advantage of his position being his mother."

I kept smiling at her as it was visible I was furious from the veins showed in my face.

3rd POV:

After the battering between the young Heiress and the Mistress they continued to discuss about the new Heir, and about the solution, the Execution.

After multiple exchange of words the council and leader had finally decided who was going to be executed, this caused the mother's of the Heirs to feel fear, the chosen child could be one of theirs, as Keneo finally announced it (Y/n's grandfather),

"We have decided for it to be Kurei"

Reina and Kagero's eyes widen in shock,

"But my Lord! Kurei is already chosen to be next in line!"

"But a new Heir wouldn't be blessed upon us if Kurei was fit to be a leader, can't you see it Reina? from his cursed flame! And his evil eyes, he isn't fit to be a leader for us."

"You! this is all your fault!"

Reina said as she charged to attack Kagero who was holding her youngest but Reina was stopped by Resshin,

"Enough Reina"

He said,

"But this is all her fault! If it weren't for her cursed children getting in the way of my precious Kurei!"

Reina then pointed at Kagero's children, this made Kagero overthink about that statement, if she hadn't bore Resshin's children would this disaster be averted?

"Enough"

Keneo spoke, preventing the argument that Reina was starting,

"It's already been decided Reina"

As a servant approached Akatsuki holding a small bowl, filled with poison, he set it down on the Tatami as he pushed in towards the middle,

"If you just give this to Kurei, Reina he wouldn't have to suffer another execution method"

"B-But Father! there must be another way!"

Kagero finally spoke up, genuinely wanting to protect Kurei from harm as Reina was hugging Kurei protectively, Reina who was filled of rage charged at Kagero slapped her, causing Kagero to stumble back,

As Reina was about to hit Kagero again (Y/n) stood up from her seat and caught Reina's wrist, the young Heiress gripped the mistress wrist tight, obviously angered by the fact that someone would harm her mother.

The young Heiress and the mistress were separated, the young Heiress escorted herself outside to cool down for some time as they continued to discuss the execution, after that it was decided that Reina and Kurei were to be sent far away from the new Heir as they convinced the council to not execute Kurei.

Additional Information:

~Reina only acted so arrogant because she knew that Resshin loved her no longer and she was trying to get him back using Kurei

~Kagero genuinely cared for all of the children as it was a big problem to resolve, to the point she thought that it was all her fault

~Resshin does care for Reina but he doesn't show it that much as Reina would probably have her hopes up.

~Resshin wasn't the best husband when he was only with Reina back then.

~Kagero calls the previous leader, Keneo, Father as they had a good Father and daughter-in-law relationship unlike Reina.
