I was listening to Sincerely, Me (Dear Evan Hansen) and realized something. I have a problem with the line that both Evan and Connor have:

"The only man that I love is my dad."

Connor's dad was an asshole. Especially to Connor.

Evan's dad left him and Heidi.

I doubt either would've loved their father figures.
