I could feel the breeze very strongly that night as I flew through the night. I couldn't help but think about how perfect it was for a date with Aila. Stars were out and bright, breeze was blowing, trees swaying in the breeze. It truly was beautiful out, and I know she'd enjoy that. I had finally made it to the kingdom after hours of flying, only to see that security had been modified since I last visited. The elves didn't like me because of my kind, Aila was the only one who saw me different, and that's what made me fall for such a beautifully kind creature. She must've known I was here somehow, because she immediately came outside through the back door of the castle. I flew down still slightly afloat in the air, only a few inches above the ground, and greeted her with a kiss. She blushed like she usually does, and then hugged me tightly, clinging to me like she didn't want me to ever leave again. "I'm so glad you're back." She whispered in my ear with a shaky voice. She sounded as if she was trying to hold back tears but she couldn't. I could tell, because the moment she pulled away, I could see the stream of tears that had run down her face. I pulled her close to me and started singing, "baby don't you cry..." as I wiped her tears, and she smiled that beautiful smile and laughed softly. "I love you, Wren" she mumbled, laying her head on my shoulder. "I love you too Aila, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me." We sat there under the stars, kissing for what felt like hours, and cuddling playing with each other's hair. She ran her fingers through mine, and I braided hers, putting the flowers she loves in her braids, and she giggled. "You're adorable Aila." I spurted out without thinking. She blushed and grabbed my hand whispering, "I wanna show you something." and she giggled again. I smiled, holding her hand tightly, and followed her into the dark part of the forest. "Where are we?" I asked. She just shushed me and kept pulling me along until we reached a beautiful part of the forest. It had a dull glow, with lots of lanterns, and there were cute mushroom and flower decorations everywhere! "Wow..." I whispered under breath as I stared around in awe. "What is this place Aila?" I questioned. "Welcome, Wren, to my hideout. This is where I go when I need a break from the kingdom." She turned to me and our eyes met and she said something that triggered a strange feeling in me. "Or when I'm down and missing you." she smiled. My heart felt like it was sinking but at the same time, it was as if it would float out of my chest. It was at this moment I had realized, I am genuinely in love with this girl. She started walking towards me again, wrapping her arms around my waist and leaning her head against my chest, and she suddenly said, "I'm in love with you Wren. I missed you." and tears once again started streaming down her face.
