A Lover's Moment

I held her tightly, running my fingers through her hair as she sobbed, calmly telling her, "It's okay now my love, I'm back, and I'll never leave your side again." She held tighter, still sobbing, unable to say anything without tears constantly streaming down her face. She started slinking to the ground, falling to her knees bringing me with her, I could tell she had really been missing me and was hurt about the incident. "Why Wren? Why did any of this have to happen?" She asked, looking up at me with those soft, faded grey eyes. I started tearing up as I thought about it. Memories replayed over and over again in my head, it truly was a bloodbath. So many lives were lost on all sides, from vampires and elves, to dragons and fairies. My kind is no longer welcome in any kingdom due to the past, but I will reunite every kingdom so I can be with my lover once again. "I... I don't know baby, but try not to think about it too much." I stuttered. I started getting lost in thought, and Aila seemed to notice because she snapped me out of thought when she said, "I know that look." She sniffled,"What's on your mind baby girl? Looks like you have a plan for something." I answered saying, "Huh? Oh, I wanna reunite the fantasy world again. I know it's risky, and it may not work, but I'm willing to risk my life if it means being with you again." She smiled and asked, "So what's the plan?"
