Daniella
I hum lowly with a smirk as I watch the door shut behind Hazel. She has left Max breathless and me more than excited to get home. I wonder if she meant to do that on purpose.
A low chuckle escapes me upon seeing Max still in a daze. I don't bother hiding my smirk. "You okay?"
Max blinks at me. "Um, yeah, sorry. She's just really pretty—"
"Excuse me?" I raise a humoured brow. "You think my girlfriend is pretty?"
The skin on her cheeks almost instantly blush a shade of pink that I find adorable. "No, no, no, no," Max rambles in a slight panic, "I-I didn't mean it like that, I just m-meant that she's breath taking, but not in that—"
"Oh, so you think she's breath taking?" I tease.
"Yes! I mean, no..." Max covers her blush in her hands either a groan. "Dani..."
I laugh at Max's bashfulness as I spin around in my chair to face the massive windows. "You're right you know."
"I am?" I hear Max mutter behind me.
"Yes. She is breath taking." I say as I walk toward the windows. Off in a distance I can see the top of Hazel's law firm. "She's one of the most beautiful people I have ever laid eyes on."
"One of?" She asks.
You are the other, I want to say, but I don't.
I hum softly instead before turning to look at the model. I flash a warm smile at her. "So, how do you want to begin planning this photo shoot?"
Maxine smiles softly back at me. A smile that makes a warm tingling feeling spread throughout my chest. I try not to get lost in the way the blue in her eyes takes on a new form as the sunlight shines brightly through the windows.
They are gentle, like a calm ocean. They draw me in easily, making me feel like I could drown in them. The sunlight also casts striking shadows across her chiseled features. The contrast of light and dark is breathtaking on her silky smooth skin. I feel like I never want to take my eyes off her.
"I was thinking that the photoshoot could be more personal than others." She suggests to me. "I know that the tenth anniversary for the Xavier brand is coming up in a few weeks."
"Twentieth." I mumble, still distracted by her beauty.
"Twentieth?" Max visually looks puzzled by my statement. "But wasn't the Xavier founded only nine years ago?"
"Officially founded nine years ago." I smile as a plume of warmth spreads throughout my chest, "The idea of Xavier has existed since I was about nine. I came up with the idea with my mother while I was drawing with her."
"Wow. That's actually really sweet." Max smiles at me. Then an idea seems to strike her. "What if the photoshoot was centred around that story?"
"Hmm?" I raise a brow. "What do you mean?"
"Maybe the photoshoot can be for Xavier's twenty year anniversary," Max begins, "and if you're willing... Maybe you can share the story of your life growing up and how your mother influenced you to create Xavier."
