(A/n): Welcome back, Darlings! Here's chapter 2 of 'Pixie Dusting', enjoy!

Feel free to leave comments and likes!

[Looking back on it, I'm realizing that this chapter isn't as important to the story as I originally thought, so feel free to skip it and head over to chapter 3. Unless of course you want to read up on how you meet Terence and the rest of the Pixie Hollow gang.]

"(Y/n)." Queen Clarion said as she made her way down a set of stairs, going deeper into the Pixie Hollow tree.

The ceremony had ended earlier than expected, the new development catching many fairies off guard. Evidently, the Ministers and the Queen decided that it would be best if they dispersed the crowd, to allow the next expectant Queen a chance to adjust.

I looked up at her expectantly, curious at her simple statement, "I'm sorry?" I inquired.

Her blue eyes met mine, clearer than an open sky, it made me feel smaller than I already was, her gaze powerful enough to make me look downwards at my bare feet, despite her look not being harsh in any way. Rather, it was quite motherly.

"Your name. Your name is (Y/n). Is that alright?" She asked, looking forward again as she walked through the hallway, making her way into a large room blanketed by a warm golden glow, books lining the shelves and large windows allowing one to see the expanse of Pixie Hollow.

Distracted, I didn't register her question, catching it a moment too late. Flinching at my own hesitation, I awkwardly answered her question belatedly, a warm sensation crawling up to my cheeks.

"Oh-Uh, yes, that's more than alright," I answered, sheepish at my momentary lull in focus.

Queen Clarion glanced at me, and I noticed the amused glances she threw my way, glances I could only associate with endearment. She sighed and closed her eyes, gracefully standing there in her gown. When she opened her eyes she turned and made her way to a door towards the back of the room, opening it to reveal a nicely sized bedroom.

She turned to look at me. Gesturing towards the room with a small movement of her hand.

"I stayed here myself many years ago before I became Queen. I made nice memories in this area of the tree." She paused, smiling to herself in the middle of the doorframe. "The bedroom and the main living room are yours, through the other doors, you'll find a kitchen, bathroom, and other things I'll allow you to discover for yourself." And with that, Queen Clarion disappeared back up the stairs to complete her duties as the leader.

Duties I too, will have to do one day.

I awoke the next day to a resounding set of knocks on my bedroom door, a stern and monotonous voice muffled by the wood and the blanket covering my tangled form.

I placed my feet on the floor, a shiver crawling it's way up to my body, and made my way across the room, a frown gracing my face at the wake-up call. I opened the door to be greeted with a raised fist, the person in front of me ready to release another set of resounding, and evidently annoying, knocks, halting mid-air to prevent her hand from coming in contact with my face.

A short fairy with a black pixie cut stared up at me, her face marred with a straight-lipped, unamused, expression. She greeted me in a clipped manner, not giving me the chance to greet her good morning.
