So I'm not 100% sure where this story is headed for now, just because I feel as though I've grown out of this style of writing, and the quality is just really bad on my standard, but I decided to just finish writing the chapter draft I started last year.

"Dessa, breath, girl."
At the comment, my gaze shifted towards where Fawn had the light-fairy crouched down, head in between her knees. Furrowing my eyebrows, I watched in growing concern as Iridessa turn a bright shade of purple, before coughing loudly and gasping for air like a man dying of thirst.
"Uh, are you alright?" Tinkerbell asked, appearing seemingly out of thin air, frightening Iridessa into letting out a screech before she swiveled to look at the tinker fairy, both of them growing worryingly pale despite the golden glow coming from the setting sun.
Deciding it was best to leave the comforting to Fawn, I turned to the rest of the group.
"Before I go and join you, there are a couple of things I have to do." The rest of them raised an eyebrow, and I could only wonder whose order they were under to keep me from working. I crossed my arms, amused.
"Don't worry, minimal effort is required; I just have to check on the light collecting from the head fairy." And with that I waved them off, watching as Iridessa's eyes started rolling into the back of her head, making sure to call out to them last minute, "And please make sure Iridessa doesn't die, we kind of need her!"
"Okay!"
"You got it!"
"No promises!"
"Fawn!"
I laughed, before turning towards the rest of the sunflower field, waving in greeting when multiple fairies called out my name with a friendly hand wave. Looking around I admired the purples and pinks that scattered the sky for a moment, before my gaze landed on the head light-fairy, their features benevolent and gregarious as they chatted to various fairies, the sun far west behind them.
"Princess! How are you? I assume you're here for the check-in?"
I nodded, offering a placating hand, "It's quite alright, (y/n) will do just fine," Offering a polite smile I gestured to the rest of the field.
"Do you happen to have the records I asked for?" At the question, the head light-fairy nodded, before pulling out a leaf notebook and eagerly handing it over to me to look over. Seeing as how everything seemed in order and planned out to be ready in time I nodded, lifting my head to offer the fairy a kind smile, laughing when they breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, this looks perfect," I handed the notebook back to them. "I guess it was a smart decision of us to put such a capable fairy in charge. Do you have any questions for me?"
At that, they gave me a look, a friendly smile gracing their face as they patted my back with a chuckle, "Just wondering how that good ol' Terence of yours is doing!"
"Oh! He's doing quite we-" I paused, backpedaling. Wait, why were they asking about Terence of all people?
"...I'm sorry?" But at that point the head light-fairy had already started turning to go back to their tasks, twiddling various items that I could only associate with the brains of Bobble and Clank.
"Well," The head-fairy gave me a comforting huff, completely oblivious to my question, before placing both their fists on their hips smiling widely, teeth and all.
It seemed like they were partial to smiling.
"I should probably go check up on the other fairies, and plus, I'm sure being the Princess and all, you must have more important things to be getting to, right?" They grinned, and I hoped they couldn't notice the way I started sweating under the collar of my dress.
