you had been waiting at the house for a couple hours now. after coming back from shopping you had sent yasuko a quick message that you had finished shopping. she had said that after you picked up teru from kinder, you could play with him at home or take him out if he wanted to.
looking over at the clock you see that the time is now 2:21. not wanting to keep him waiting you pick up your small bag with your phone, purse and some other small things and head towards the door.
arriving at the school you see terushima, bobata and takeharu walk out the kindergarden gate together.
"y/n nee chan!" all three call out running to you.
kids being kids, of course they ran and pushed some other child over as they ran.
the kid slowly looks up, sits up and starts wining (quite quietly) while the three of them continue running toward you. the kid in front of the poor child tries comforting him while he remains sniffling looking down at his bloody, scratched knees.
you feel like a bad human being but you started laughing when he fell, not like a maniac [as i probably would have, sorry small child] but just a small giggle (on your behalf it was the way he fell not him falling).
when they reach you they hug you, to which you hug back but then place a strict look on your face.
"terushima, bobata, takeharu, you have to be more careful! you pushed someone over on the way here, go apologise, right now!"
"but- but one chan, i saw you laughing!" takeharu reasons.
"that doesn't matter! go apologise or i'm leaving without you all!" you threaten. of course you would never do that but it was a good threat to use against them.
"no! don't leave us! we'll apologise! guys let's go! hurry before she leaves without us!" teru says pulling their sleeves.
they walk up to the poor boy with you trailing behind them.
"sorry for pushing you over!!" all three exclaim at the same time.
the boy slowly looks up with tears in his eyes. he gives a small forgiving nod.
you sigh at their pathetic apology but it will do for now, i guess.
you kneel down so that you're eye level with this kid.
"hey baby, what's your name?"
"k-katsumichi higashiyama..." he sniffles.
you could tell straight away that he was trying his best not to cry and was keeping his tears in.
"can you stand okay, katsumichi chan?"
he tries to get up with the help of his friend of course but looks like he's in quite some pain.
"don't force yourself, okay? i can carry you to that bench over there and get you all bandaged up." you say.
