both children look at me with pleading eyes daring me to say the others name to see what they would do.

"i like you both equally, so please don't compete with each other, okay?" i say, squatting down to be eye level with them.

"...fine... for now..." bobata says

takeharu sticks his tongue out at him.

"so, kazuma chan, take chan, what brings you to my house?" i ask the young boys.

bobata turns to me and smiles a small smile. "i accidentally threw my volleyball over the fence and into your backyard..."

"stupid..." takeharu mutters under his voice.

"i am not!" bobata whines back.

"now now, no need to fight. let's get the ball together, shall we?" i offer

pushing my door open wider i allow the children to enter and we walk together to my backyard door. i can see their eyes light up as we walk through my house, their eyes shooting from one thing to the next. i could practically see the sparkles in their eyes.

opening the backyard door i see the ball laying on the grass patiently.

bobata runs towards it and jumps up in celebration of finding the ball.

"we got it!" he yells

"thank you y/n onee chan," takeharu says to me

"you're welcome," i say to the two children in front of me.

"futamata chan? kazuma chan? where did you run off to?" i hear bobata s mom call.

"well, you two better get going," i say smiling down at the two.

"ill come again soon! " takeharu smiles up at me.

"me too! you'll see me soon! i just know it!" bobata says with a determined look in his eyes.

i smiled down at both. "i'm sure i will, now run along, your mother is probably waiting for you."

we walk all together towards my front door again and before they leave bobata and takeharu turn towards me and hug my legs.

"bye y/n onee chan!" bobata calls and he runs back next door with takeharu right next to him, pink blush tinting both of their faces.

'they're so adorable, my heart can't handle it'

shutting the door behind me, i walk into the kitchen only to have the home phone ring.

"hello?" i answer picking it up "y/n speaking, how can i help you?"

"y/n, hello, it's the hospital again, how are you?"

"yeah i'm alright, is my mother doing okay?"

"she's just finished her weekly check up and she's doing great, much better than last week."

"that's great! that means she'll be home soon!"

"i do hope so y/n, i really hope so." her voice sounds kind of sad now but i ignore it. we chat for a little bit more before i hang up.

i sigh. i just has to do well on my babysitting job and moms hospital bills will be fine. that's all i need to remember.

walking into the kitchen i smell something funny.

"what is that?...i ask myself, sniffing the sir as i walk deeper into the kitchen.

then i realise

"oH NO MY BOILED WATER- HOW DO I EVEN MANAGE TO DO THAT? NOW I GOTTA START ALL OVER AGAIN- UGH"
