4: THE MESSAGE

after talking some more you exchanged numbers and soon head home feelings. little less nervous to meet their kid.

she said that's he woulda end you a message of the things you could/should do with terushima while they were out and small stuff he liked and disliked.

opening the message you read through it as you walk down the road back home.

the message read:

hey y/n, this is yasuko.

here's a little note to get you started about our child. really sorry if he causes you any trouble.

yuuji is quite the picky child so i'm really sorry for the long message you are about to read.

first off, if you are going to take him out please make sure he is always in sight. he wanders off a lot and you could lose him quite easily.

he is a cheeky child, so please be aware that he will try to pull some small pranks and tricks on you as you become closer.

his favourited pod is sausages in bread. there is a small shop down the road which is his favourite called xxxx. you are free to take him there, the owner of the store is familiar with his already.

there will be times when you will have to pick terushima up from school instead of us. the kinder is just down the road from our house. the address is 📍 kindergarten xxxx

i will give you the kindergarten teachers number just in case too: xxxx-xxx-xxx

your schedule for us is for you to come every weekday to babysit him form 2:30 - 8:30 from when you pick him up from kinder.

in a couple weeks time we will be going on a holiday for a couple of weeks so if it's okay with you could you please take care of yuuji during that time? if not it's all good, we can find another babysitter to do it.

yuuji is welcome to have friends over as long as their parents are okay with it.

and lastly the most important thing. this will help you a lot. attention. yuuji needs attention. if your main attention is not on him he will find some way to make you feel guilty. very guilty, and that's coming from me. so for your own good please keep that in mind.

if she hadn't sent that big as paragraph to you, you definitely would have been in some trouble.

sending her a quick message of thank you, you look up to realise you're at home.

you unlock the door and walk into your home taking off your shoes.

"i'm home." you ball into your empty home.

walking to the altar in your house you gather your hands and send a quick prayer to your dad.

your dad passed away in a car crash when you were young. you were badly injured as well as your mom, but both survived. you had little to no memories of him but you still patted your respects none the less.

your mom was currently in hospital for a medical condition. after your dad passed away she started to become a little broken... you could tell that your mom and dad had a strong connection. it was one that once was broken, it would be broken forever. your mother became really sick after that and had to stay in hospital for special treatment in order to get better.

being an only child and having your father dead and mother hospitalised meant you had to pay for her hospital bills in hopes that she would get better.

that's why you took the job of being a babysitter. at that point you were desperate. babysitting was the only job application that played well enough for you to survive, so you took it. you just hoped that you would make enough money to help your mother before it was too late.
