Chapter Five

The Area
Meline and Julia are trotting through the field together.
"I'm going to beat you home," Said Julia, excited.
Julia clucks and gallops off.
"Julia! Julia, wait you need to be careful!" Said Meline, worried
Meline starts chasing after Julia at a gallop.

At The Barn
Julia rides to the barn hoping off Angel and quickly walking her into the barn. Julia quickly takes off Angel's tack when Meline walks in, leading her brown bay horse.
"You know you're supposed to be careful riding," Said Meline, worriedly
"Mom, come on, we were just at the doctors this week, and they said I'm okay to be getting back to normal life," Said Julia reassuringly.
"I know, I just worry," Said Meline.
"You always do," Said Julia with a laugh as she quickly puts her saddle away.
"Why are you rushing?" Asked Meline as if she didn't know the answer.
"I need to go practice," Said Julia, anxiously
"Honey, you need to calm down," Said Meline, softly.
"Mom I can't just calm down! This audition is huge and important to me," Said Julia, anxiously.
"I know that, but you have been driving yourself crazy, you have been practicing a lot. You will do great!" Said Meline, reassuringly.
"Of course you think that, you're my mom, but I'm not so sure...maybe I should ask Heaven for help," Said Julia, unsure.
"You will do great but if you think that will help then ask her," Suggests Meline.

In The House
Meline walks into the house where Dean is sitting doing paperwork at the kitchen table.
"I'm really worried about Julia," Said Meline, worriedly.
"When aren't you? It's because you're the queen of worrying," Said Dean, sarcastically.
"I'm being serious! She's stressing herself way too much about this audition," Said Meline.
"Isn't it a good thing that she cares so much?" Suggests Dean.
"Not if she's driving herself crazy it isn't!" Argued Meline.
"Mel, she's already crazy, so you have nothing to worry about," Said Dean, jokingly.
"So she'll drive herself to insanity? That's no better," Said Meline with a little smile.
"Well you're smiling so something's a little better," Said Dean, smiling
"I guess," said Meline leaning in for a kiss.
Dean kisses Meline back.

Two Days Later in The Area
Julia is riding Angel around the area grumpily when Meline comes out and over to the fence and Julia sighs.
"Julia, are you okay?" Asked Meline, worried.
Julia hops off of Angel and starts to walk her in.
"Yeah, in fine," Said Julia, annoyed.
"Come on, tell me what's going on," Said Meline, softly.
"I didn't make the audition, but it's fine... I just have to try harder," Said Julia sadly.
Julia walks past Meline and Meline watches Julia and Angel walk into the barn with a worried look.

In The Gauge

Dean is working under his truck when Meline walks in and kicks his boot softly.
"Hey," Said Meline, getting Dean attention
"Honey, I'm a little busy," Said Dean.
"Well I'm worried about Julia," Said Meline, concerned.
"You're always worried about Julia but why?" Asked Dean.
"Because she failed her audition, and now she's blaming herself, I'm worried she is being too hard on herself," Said Meline, concerned.
"Well she seemed okay when I talked to her," Said Dean.
"Well she can't blame herself, this isn't her fault," Said Meline, worriedly.
"Babe, Julia is really strong. I'm sure she'll be fine." said Dean, reassuringly.
"I know but what if she quits because of this jackass," Said Meline, upset.
"She won't, Julia is not a quitter I think we both know that. She's going to keep trying! You know that!" Said Dean, reassuringly.
"I know but she's my daughter I can't help but worry about her," Said Meline with a smile.
"I know you can't, I'll talk her," Said Dean giving Meline a kiss.

In The Loft

Dean walks up into the loft of the barn where Julia is standing in front of a white backdrop and circle light.
"Dad!" Said Julia, surprised to see him up there.
"Hey are you okay?" Asked Dean, worriedly
"Yeah...why?" Asked Julia, confused.
"Your mom really worried that you're pushing yourself to hard or going to give up this acting thing, which doesn't look like the case," Said Dean.
"Give it up? Are you kidding I'm just going to keep trying," Said Julia, confident.
"Well that's good, just don't push yourself to hard, or you'll worry your mom," Said Dean with a little smile.
"I won't dad I promise but can I get back to my monologue," Asked Julia.
"Yeah," Said Dean.
Dean then walks out of the loft and Julia walks back in front of the camera.
