Chapter Six

In Julia Bedroom
Julia is laying sadly on her bed scrolling through her computer looking at casting auditions.
"Uh...these are all old...how am I ever going to get in anything if I can't find anything," Said Julia, annoyed.
There's a buzz on her phone.
"Hey Jules are you going to the rodeo this weekend?" Texted Brooke
"Shoot! I totally forgot about that! Do you think it's to late to sign up?" Texted Julia.
"Not if you get out there soon...maybe," Texted Brooke.
"Okay, I'm going to head there right after morning chores," Texted Julia.
Julia jumps out of bed, gets dress quick and runs downstairs.

In The Kitchen
Julia runs into the kitchen.
"Hey mom can I sign up for the rodeo this weekend?" Asked Julia.
"Are you sure you're ready for that?" Asked Meline, worriedly.
"She's fine Mel," Said Dean.
"See dad thinks I'm fine," Said Julia with a smile.
"Okay, just-" Meline started to say.
"Be careful, I know, you sound like a broken record," Said Julia, sarcastically.
"I'm your mom, I'm supposed to worry about you," Said Meline.
"Well you could win an award in that," Said Julia.
"Do I get an award too?" Asked Dean.
"Yes," Said Julia with a smile.
"Okay I'll be expecting that!" Said Dean, jokingly.
"Okay," Said Julia walking out the door.

At The Barn
Julia is throwing hay bales into the horses field as Meline is walking out of the house. Suddenly Julia feels dizzy and as if time has stopped before she falls to the ground shaking uncontrollably.
"JULIA!!!!" Screamed Meline.
Meline runs to Julia as fast as she can pulling her phone out to call 911.
"My daughter just fell and started shaking, I don't know what's wrong, please hurry!" Said Meline, frantically.

At The Hospital
Julia is rushed into the hospital and into an exam room the doctor looks in Julia's eyes as they move everywhere, and she continues to shake uncontrollably. Meline and Dean watch from the window heartbroken and scared.

A Little later in the waiting room
Meline and Dean are anxiously waiting for the doctor when he walks out.
"Is she okay?" Asked Meline, scared.
"What's wrong with her?" Asked Dean, worried.
"Your daughter has developed Epilepsy that we believe was caused by her fall of her horse," Explained the doctor.
"You believe? As in, you don't know?" Asked Dean, upset.
"Sir, many things can cause epilepsy but one of the more common are brain injuries which Julia has experienced," Explains the Doctor.
"Well what do we do about it?" Asked Dean.
"Right now we are going to keep running tests but long term she will need medication to help keep her symptoms under control," Said the Doctor.
"Can we see her?" Asked Meline, scared.
"Yes, come with me," Said Doctor

Julia Hospital Room
Julia is laying weakly in her bed when Meline and Dean run in.
"Mommy...wh-what...happened?" Asked Julia, weakly.
"You had a seizure," Said Meline, softly.
"What? No, I-I don't...get seizures," Said Julia, confused.
"I know sweetie...they think it was from your fall," Explains Meline, softly
"Does this mean.... I'll have to-to stop...riding again?" Asked Julia, on the verge of tears.
"For a while yes," Said Meline, softly.
"But I-I just... got back to it," Cried Julia.
"I know sweetie, I know," Said Meline as she pulls Julia into her arms.
