Circus of the forgotten...

The New Job

"Elizabeth I'm home!" I called she ran toward me "Arthur I'm glad your back. I made dinner while you we're gone." she said "Ok as soon as I hang my coat we'll eat" "Daddy" Tommy called he ran to me and gave me a hug. "good to see you too but where is Clara?" I asked "I'm over here dad" she said "Ok, now lets eat dinner" I said we walked to the table and sat down and started eating after we finished the kids went to bed. After they went to bed Elizabeth asked "Did you find any jobs that will pay more than the job you have?" "no not yet. Do you know any places where they pay more?" "no I don't" "Its ok I'll find one" I said "Ok you better find one fast because I don't think we'll be able to pay for this place anymore if you don't find a new job soon" she said. "Don't worry I'm sure I'll find soon." I said "Ok, lets go to bed now" we walked to our room and laid in bed and fell asleep.

Tomorrow morning I woke up and headed to work after I had breakfast as I was walking to work I saw a poster that said "after show cleaners needed at The circus of wonders"  I took the poster and looked at a near by clock half and hour until I need to be at work I have time the circus isn't too far from here. I ran to the circus then stopped I'm here I looked around I saw people in line to see the show I moved pass the line and asked the person at the ticket booth "Where is the owner of the circus I need to know because I'm interested in the job." "He is at the small tent over there" he pointed his finger at a small tent with blue and white strips "thank you" I said " your welcome and can you please get out of the line people are waiting." "oh ok I'm so sorry' I walked to the tent and went inside I saw a tall man with blond hair and blue eyes "Hey what do want" he asked "Oh I'm Arthur and I saw your poster and I wanted to take the job." I showed him the poster he looked at it and said "Ok you got the job. I really needed someone to clean after all the shows done so I'll take anyone. You need to be here by 8:30 pm everyday starting today and you'll have 20 dollars total at the end of each month got that?" "Yes I do thank you so much." I said I walked out with some pep in my step and started heading to work I'll still have to work at my job to hold up my family but we'll be fine. Wait till I tell Elizabeth the news but I guess I can't spent as much time with the kids well lately I haven't spent much time with them. 

Then I saw the store and went across the street then I opened the door and I walked inside my boss said to go to the cash register. I walked to the cash register and waited for people to finish their shopping so I can check them out. The day passed and I finished work I walked to my house I looked at the house the paint was flaking the roof needed to be replaced. I walked in my family greeted me I looked around the house was also small and cramped. We had dinner, after dinner I told them the news "I got a new job" I said Elizabeth was gleeful "Oh, Arthur I knew you could do it." "But, I still have to work my old job too so we can have enough money." I said "so you'll have to spent less time with the kid" she said "yes,but we have more money." I said  "its fine I can take care of the kids." "so dad, you'll have to spent less with us." Tommy asked "Yes"  He ran up and hugged me "I wish you could stay" he said "me too" " I looked at the time "I have to go work is going to start in half and hour." I said "ok we'll be fine" "Bye Daddy" said Tommy. I ran out of the door.

I got to the circus the ringmaster was waiting he saw me and said "There you are and your on time too anyways here you go." he handed me a broom "The paformers are sleeping in their tents so don't into the blue tents ok. "ok" " I'll see you tomorrow I'm going home  now get to work" he said "yes sir". I ran to the tent and and walked to the seat before I could start cleaning someone tapped my shoulder I turned around I saw a little girl with dark wavy hair and emtey blue eyes and said "There's something wrong going on here and we need your help."
