Tori's POV
The last thing I remember is a box falling in my head. After that everything blacked out. A sharp pain strikes my head. I try to get up, but someone stops me.
"Slow down Tori. You may have a pretty bad headache."
Looking up, I realize that 'someone' is actually Avan.
"Well, thank you Katherine Obvious.How long was I out?"
"About two days. You lost a lot of blood. May I ask why?"
"Because I'm hungry."
He smiled a little but just for a second. I think I missed a way too many events.
"Avan... What's wrong?"
His sad expression became an almost panicated one.
" I don't know if you are ready to hear the news..."
"You know me better than anybody else.You can tell me."
He said nothing. On the other side, Matt talked.
"After you screamed you saw a zombie, Cat came after you. I guess you were already passed out. When she got you here, your head was a bloody mess. Me and Avan cleaned the wounds. Anyway, Liz went to help Cat, but there they found not only one zombie. There was a horde. Liz stayed and made sure none of them was going to follow you. After an hour, Liz wasn't back so Jade went after her. Jade said that Liz got bitten and asked her to kill her.When Jade declined, Liz took her own life."
I can't believe it. I was new in theit group, but I really liked Liz. She was nice, caring and funny.
"Matt, where is Cat?I have to thank her."
Jade came out of no where and said something even more shocking than Matt's news.
"Cat is in her own world now. Liz's death affected her a lot."
"But why? She seemed to hate her guts."
Jade let out a long sigh.
"I am not the one to tell you.Let's go to Cat."
"But ypu said she isn't talking."
"She has to."
As we get to Cat, I understand what Jade meant wits 'her own world'. She has a too familiar expression. One that I hoped I won't have to face again.
A/N
Tori woke up and heard the news. In the next chapter we will see why Cat is like this.If you thought she feels guilty, you are half right. Also, we will learn a few things about Tori.And I know I wrote Katherine Obvious instead of Capitan Obvious. Later haters.
