Serena walked into the gym and instantly regretted it. The music was full blast and the men were just as loud. And just like the first time she had come in the gym a lot of the men's attention were on her. She quickly looked for Scout but he was nowhere to be seen. But she did catch Warren shove past a few guys and walk up to her. Without a word, which was not like him, he grabbed her by the arm and took her into Scout's office. She looked around she had never been in here. She was confused when she noticed Scout wasn't in here. She turned and looked at Warren.

"You stay in here. I may have just saved multiple lives by getting you out of there. I'm going to go get Scout, you stay here."

Serena nodded and watched him leave. She looked around. There were pictures covering the walls. Scout was in all of them. She noticed most of them were from when he was still fighting. He was younger but he also seemed...happier, more carefree. One photo stuck out to her. It was a newspaper clipping but it was the blonde model attached to his arm that caught her eye. She spun around quickly when she heard the door fly open.

"What the hell are you doing here? I thought I told you not to show up when the gym is open."

She was a little taken aback by his aggravated tone. She tried not to show her sudden lack of confidence as a reaction. She squared her shoulders.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I only wanted to tell you I will be gone the rest of the week. But if that is a problem I will just leave now.

She took a step towards the door but Scout slammed it close with a flick of his wrist. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed.

"I'm sorry. Please sit down."

He walked around his desk and sat down. Serena hesitated but sat in the chair he had gestured towards.

"What do you mean when you say you will be gone the rest of the week?"

I'm going to Boston for work. I leave tomorrow and won't be back until Saturday or maybe Sunday. So I won't be here to train. I had some extra time so I thought I'd tell you in person.

Scout just looked at her. He didn't say anything but she could see the wheels turning in his head. Then he suddenly got up and walked to the door.

"Thanks for letting me know. I'll walk you out. Oh and Serena, please text at least if you plan to show up during business hours."

He didn't stick around to say goodbyes at the doors or even walk her to her car. As soon they were out of his office he took off towards Warren. Warren smiled at her and she gave a slight wave bye before walking outside. She didn't know what to expect from him but that hadn't been it. She was growing more confused by his behavior. Maybe some time apart was just what the doctor ordered. When she got home she texted Blair letting her know about her trip.

Boston!? I'm coming with you!! Just told the boss I'll be gone the next 2 days! -B

What?! You don't have to come! -S

Have to? I want to! I love road trips! -B

Serena laughed and thought about it. Having another driver would be nice. And she would be able to help with any communication issues. She could actually feel relief at the thought.

Ok! But you will have to pay your way. Work is only paying for the rental car and hotel, meals, etc. I'd love the company. -S

Serena spent the rest of the evening packing. Then went to bed early, even if sleep evaded her because of a certain someone.
