Hope was walking away once again. I had yet to fully grasp everything that had happen within the past 2 days. Hope wanted an out on this soulmate thing and who can blame her. Being tied to someone for the rest of your life only for them not to love you in return. I had my own mix feelings. Feeling involving Rai... and now Hope. She was different. Good different. Maybe, Hope was right. If we are truly meant to be soulmate we would find each other. However I too wanted to put that theory to the test. Between Rai and Hope. Whoever I found first, I was going to make an attempt to love them. Rai was a crush, but I had developed something for the tribrid.

I took a deep breath and headed straight to my room. I needed to get ready and prepare myself.

Once I got inside I changed from my school uniform to something more suitable. We will be spending 12 hours in the woods. Half of the time we'll be fighting in the dark. Black was the way to go. Everytime I'd look at the clock my heart would beat faster. My anxiety would skyrocket. Every minute that passed was a minute closer to the death game. I grabbed two sets of daggers, strapping one to my thigh while the other was hidden in my boots. I tightened arms wraps around my hands and rolled up the sleeves of my shirt. I grabbed a cloak from my bag and put it over me.

I snapped my fingers and my grimoire appeared before me floating in mid air. Making sure I at least had 1 spell for every encounter. Healing spells, offensive, defensive, stealth.

Everyone thinks werewolves and vampires and even demons are the biggest threats. Well demons are powerful, but it was witches who had the upper hand.

My heart dropped suddenly when the ringing of chimes could be heard. Midnight. I thought. My blood ran cold and my knees began to shake. The only sounds my ears could pick up was my own heart beat. It was fast and loud syncing with the chimes. I saw my body giving off a blue glow. It felt heavy and warm like a weighted blanket was covering me. I saw my once brightly lit room turn dark as the new scenery was anything but comforting.

Dark, and cold. Werewolves had night vision and keen sense of smell. Vampires had sharp hearing. Demons had enhanced senses. Witches had protective barriers until our energy ran dry. If I had to say which one was the most deadly, demons all the way.

I looked around noticing were I had landed. Lucky me to be placed on top of a tree 50 ft off the ground. I took a breath and kept quiet listening as best I could. Nothing but owls, and crickets. Leaves brushing against once another, and forest creatures running through the dark. Without hesitation, I slipped from the branch and fell the fifty feet. Hopping from one branch to the next. I landed like a cat, perfectly on my feet, and threw my head back to toss my semi long brown hair over my shoulders. I brushed my hair back deciding I need to tie my hair into a ponytail.

Every step was filled with silence as I casted a spell on my feet. It made things easier and safer. I didn't know how long I had been walking before I encountered the first of many.

Some sort of supernatural lay forever silent on the ground against a tree. How did the idiot not see it coming. I puffed a breath out. It didn't matter. I checked his arm and sure enough his relic was gone. I took a deep breath and began to ran. Something was approaching and it reeked of wet dog. It was close but I couldn't see or hear them and the smell was becoming faint. They were leaving away from me that's all I knew.

I decided to continue walking forwards getting away from that scene. With a quick snap of my fingers my grimoire appeared and opened up to a map. It gave me my location along with the finish line. I sighed in anger when I realized I was in the furthered part of the forest. 40 miles away. It takes a persons 13hrs and 20 minutes to walk in a relax pace. A normal walk is 10hrs. But if one were to run and have a great pace it can be done within 7 hrs. Now I understood why we got 12hrs.
