Elliot Pyro Parry

Chapter Three

Jack stands up with a happy expression on his face.

"I'm glad you want to learn Pyro, you'll make a fine addition to my team," said Jack happily.

"Team? What do you mean about a team?" asked Elliot with a confused expression.

"I have my own little team, kind of like the Avengers. One of the Avengers is on the team with us actually," said Jack happily while walking around the room.

"What is the team about?" questioned Elliot, eager to hear more about this special team.

"I call it SPEAR. Special Persons Exhibiting Astonishing Rarities. I find people, like you Pyro, who have exceptional powers or skills and recruit them into my team. 

Pyro looks down at his hands, realizing that he himself could join the special group of SPEAR and show people, like his adoptive parents, that he is special. Pyro smiles when he realizes this. He looks back up at Jack with an eager and excited face.

"I want to join SPEAR with you. How do I join?" Pyro asks happily.

"Well first, you have to train with your powers and fully control them," Jack replies happily that Pyro wants to join his team.

"Alright, then let's train!" Pyro exclaims.

"First we have to make you a costume so you don't accidentally catch your clothes on fire." Jack says with a small laugh.

"Do I get to design my own costume?" Elliot says while shaking his hands in excitement

Jack smiles and says, "Of course you do, come with me."

Jack walks over and opens the door and Elliot follows him. They get to the Costume Creation Department and Jack talks to the person at the desk as Elliot looks around at the many costumes on the wall of previous heroes such as some of Captain America's old costumes. Elliot kept shaking his hands and jumping in excitement then Jack smiles towards Elliot and motions Elliot to follow him.

Jack opens the door to the creation room and says, "Welcome to the Costume Creation Department, Elliot.

Jack brings Elliot over to the lead creator and says, "This is Tanya, the lead costume creator here. She'll answer all of your questions and she'll help you design your costume. Come back to the training room one you have the costume."

Elliot jumps up and down excitedly and starts telling Tanya his costume ideas. Jack smiles and walks back to the training room and sits down on one of the chairs. Nick Fury walks into the room with Jack and sits next to him.

"You better train that kid right." Nick says in a serious tone.

Jack looks confused and turns to Nick and says, "Of course I will, but why are you telling me this, sir?"

Nick looks over at Jack and says, "Cause that kid can make hell on Earth a reality if something bad happens."

"He won't do that. He's a good kid, sir. I have faith in him." Jack says calmly.

Nick stands up and walks over to the door and says, "Don't fuck it up, Ross." before walking out of the door.

About thirty minutes later, Elliot walks back in wearing a dark red and black superhero suit. Jack stands up and smiles at Elliot. Elliot is jumping around happily and looking at his suit.

"You look really good Elliot, it really fits you." Jack says with a big smile.

Elliot runs up to Jack and says, "I'm ready to keep training now!"

Jack smiles and says, "Alright, lets train!"

Time seems to go by at lightspeed. Fireball after fireball and minute after minute, until the two hours, had gone by in mere seconds. Pyro had trained for his full two hours while only feeling like he had trained for two minutes. Nick Fury knocks on the door connecting to the training area. Pyro shoots his final fireball as he opens the door.

"Time's up Elliot. Time to go back home. Jack, did you teach him everything?" Nick Fury said while entering the room.

"Well, no, I can't teach him everything in one day, sir. That would be impossible." Jack replied, kind of with a shocked tone.

"Yes, I know Jack. I'm not stupid." Nick Fury replied with a sarcastic voice.

Pyro started walking backward slowly towards the back of the training room while his face turned from happy to scared. His hands started to spark, then his hands completely caught on fire.

"You are not sending me back to that hellhole. I am not going back there." Elliot says while his fire grows larger in his hands.

"Pyro, we can't keep you here, your parents will realize you're gone soon enough," Jack replied while trying to slowly walk towards Pyro.

Pyro's eyes start to glow a bright red as his anger level rises. The fire in his hands reaches almost all the way up to the ceiling of the training area.

"I AM NOT GOING HOME!" Elliot screams as his whole body sets on fire. Jack steps away from Elliot and says, "Elliot, calm down its all going to be okay."

Nick Fury comes from the side of Elliot and splashes water all over him which puts his fire out. Elliot stares at Nick for a few seconds and then runs towards the door. He grabs his backpack and steals a jug containing fireproof liquid and then starts running outside as Nick and Jack stare at him.

Nick turns to Jack and says, "Don't just stand there bitch, go get the kid!"

Jack runs out of the room and starts chasing after Elliot. Jack bursts outside of the facility and sees Elliot standing outside dumping the jug all over his backpack and skateboard which was inside of his backpack.

"ELLIOT! STOP!" Jack screaming while running towards Elliot.

Elliot turns towards Jack and throws a fireball towards at him. Jack throws a water ball at the fireball, and they cancel each other out making it disappear. Nick Fury comes out of the door and stands next to Jack.

Jack turns to Nick and says, "He won't listen to me sir."

Nick walks up a bit closer to Elliot and says, "Kid, what the hell are you doing?"

Elliot turns to Nick while putting his backpack on and says, "I told you, I am NOT going home!"

Elliot lights himself on fire and stares at Nick, who has a mad an annoyed face. He then turns to Jack who has a sad and scared face. Elliot shakes his head and turns away and pulls his backpack straps tighter. Elliot then shoots a continuous stream of fire out of his hands and then he starts to fly shakily in the air. Jack's face turns terrifyed as Elliot gets higher in the air and farther away. Nick Fury shakes his head and starts to walk inside as Jack keeps watching Elliot.

Jack notices that Elliot is starting to fall out of the sky and starts screaming, "NO! ELLIOT!" at the top of his lungs while chasing after where Elliot is.

Jack runs as fast as he can towards where Elliot is falling, but doesn't make it in time before Elliot his the ground. Jack starts crying as he starts flying using his water powers in order to get to Elliot faster. Jack comes across a big crater with Elliot laying down inside of it with cuts all over him. Jack landed inside of the crater and started to see if Elliot was alive. Jack noticed that his backpack was already off and a little bit away from the crater. Jack puts his fingers against Elliot's neck to feel his pulse, and he can barely feel a small slow pulse coming from Elliot.

Jack puts Elliots backpack on and picks up Elliot and screams, "HELP! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!" at the top of his lungs
