"Ugh, part time jobs." Lu and Kai thought in unison on their first day at Under the Blanket.
"Miss, Miss! I would like to order!" A bulky man almost yelled at Lu.
"Yes sir, what would you like?" Lu asked, giving a sarcastic smile.
"I should have worked in the kitchen." She thought.

"How the Home do you make soup without the microwave? I should have waited with Lu." Kai thought watching the of fire bowl of soup.
"Miss, may Lucy and I switch?" Kai asked politely so it would be more likely to get what he wants.
Amy- the manager on duty- looked over and then called Lu over.
"Both of you are doing pretty bad. Swap. Lucy you're now in the kitchen and Kurai you're now waiting." Amy said.
Kai did a mini fist pump and Lu bounced on the balls of her feet.

"Hello sir, here's your loaded baked potato soup and your coke." Kai said.
"Who are you?" The man asked with a surprised expression. "My waitress is a redhead."
"We swapped." Kai said dully.
"Sorry miss, but you should get that cold checked out. Your voice is so hoarse." The man said.
"Sir, I'm a teenage male." Kai pointed out dully.

"Onii-san, why are we going there? Don't you go back to whatever your job is tomorrow?" Elle asked Zack as she drove her green pickup.
"No, I'm not. Are we not picking up the others?" Zack asked in response.
"Dude, this is a pickup, I do not have room to drive four other people across town. Mrs. Kingsley is driving them." Elle explained.
"Your phone is ringing, shouldn't yo-" Zack started.
"No, Zack. I. Am. Driving." Elle said, slightly speeding up. "Answer my phone."
"It's from Cody using Robbie's phone. It says that they're there." Zack said.
"We left before them! How'd they get there so soon?" Elle asked.
"Hng- what? Cody says Liz's dance class was right next door. Not figuratively." Zack said.
"What." Elle said flatly.
"Thanks Cody." Zack said putting down the phone.
"What is your job?" Elle asked trying to throw him off.
"Research." Zack said.
"Of what?" Elle asked.
"We're here!" Zack said almost jumping out of the not yet parked truck.
