"Now remember these visits to Hogsmeade Village are a privilege. Should your behavior reflect poorly on the school in any way, that privilege shall not be extended again." McGonagall was saying to our third year classmates as Harry and I ran up holding our permission slip in our hands. "No permission form signed, no visiting the village, that's the rule Potter's"

"All those with permission, follow me." Filch said as he started leading students away. "Those without, stay put."

"Professor we thought if you signed it then we could go." Harry said running in front of Professor McGonagall to stop her from walking away.

"I can't. Only a parent or a guardian can sign." She said gently to the both of us. "Since I am neither, it would be inappropriate. I'm sorry Potter's. That's my final word." She patted our shoulders gently before walking away.

"Forget about it, guys. See you later." Harry said to Ron and Hermione as I smiled weakly at them before walking over to Draco, who was waiting for me.

"I'm sorry love, I wish I could go." I said gently stopping in front of the platinum blonde haired boy.

"It's okay beautiful, I'll get you some sweets from Honeyduke's and bring them back for you." Draco said and hugged me gently kissing my forehead making me feel warm before he let go and left catching up Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle.

"Professor, can we ask you something." I asked Professor Lupin as we walked with him across the bridge.

"You want to know why I stopped Harry from facing that boggart, yes?" Professor Lupin said, "I would have thought it'd be obvious. I assumed it would take the shape of Lord Voldemort."

"I did think of Voldemort... at first.' Harry said gently as we walked, "But then I remembered that night on the train... and the dementor."

"Well, I'm very impressed. That suggests that what you fear the most is fear itself." Lupin said as we stopped by one of the window like arches of the bridge. "This is very wise."

"Before I fainted...I heard something. A woman...screaming." Harry said and I looked at him in surprise. He had never told me that bit of information from that night.

"Well dementors force us to relive our very worst memories. Our pain becomes their power." Professor Lupin said as I gently rested my hand on Harry's for reassurance.

"I think it was our mother, the night she was murdered." Harry said and you could tell Professor Lupin was a little nervous about that.

"You know the very first time I saw you, Harry, and (Y/N), I recognized you both immediately. Not by your scar; by your eyes. They're you mother Lily's. Yes. Oh, yes. I knew her." Professor Lupin said as he walked to the other side of the bridge, "Your mother was there for me at a time when no one else was. Not only was she a singularly gifted witch, she was also an uncommonly kind woman. She had a way of seeing the beauty in others. Even, and perhaps most especially, when that person cold not see it in themselves. Well, your father, James, on the other hand, he uh.. he had a certain shall we say talent for trouble. A talent, rumor had it... he passed on to the both of you. You're more like them than you know, you two. In time you'll come to see just how much."

It was later in the evening and everyone was being brought down to sleep in two big rooms one for boys and one for girls to still keep us separate, but so that all the teachers could keep an eye on us because Sirius black had made it into the building and had sliced the painting of the fat lady most likely in search of my brother while I was in the dungeons. I was later going to be told by my brother the conversation he had heard between Dumbledore and Snape. That Snape had an idea that Professor Lupin was behind Sirius being able to get into the castle though Dumbledore brushed off the suggestion but how little did we know how right he was.

I was sitting next to Draco in Defense Against the Dark Arts holding his hand as a door slammed open and closed as Snap came in swishing his wand causing all the windows to close and brought down the projector screen before looking at all of us. "Turn to page 394." Snape drawelled out to us as he started walking down the rows.

"Excuse me sir. Where's Professor Lupin?" Harry asked from his seat across the aisle from Draco and I.

"That's not really your concern, it it, Potter?" Snape asked Harry, "Suffice it to say that your professor finds himself incapable of teaching at the present time. Turn to page 394." Snape then turned on the projector and swished his wand at Ron's book who was still flipping to his page flipping it to the page for him quickly.

"Werewolves?" Ron asked confusion in his voice.

"But sir, we've just begun learning about Red Caps and hinkypunks. We're not meant to start nocturnal beasts for weeks." Hermione said who was now suddenly sitting next to Harry as Draco and I gave each other confused looks.

"Quiet." Snape said

"When did she come in? Did you see her come in?" Ron asked Harry as he shook his head.

"Now, which one of you can tell me the difference between an Animagus and a werewolf?" Snape asked as Hermione instantly raised her hand, "No one? How dissapointing."

"Please sir. An Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf has no choice. With each full moon, when he transforms, he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend if he crossed his path. Furthermore, the werewolf only responds to the call of its own kind." Hermione finished as Draco howled and leaned into me as his goons laughed and I rolled my eyes shoving him back with my hand lightly a smile playing on my lips.

"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy. That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?" Snape asked walking closer to her.

"He's got a point, you know?" Ron said leaning towards Harry

"Five points from Gryffindor. As an antidote to your ignorance, and on my desk by Monday morning, two rolls of parchment on the werewolf with particular emphasis on recognizing it. Snape said as Draco sent a little enchanted bird note to Harry with something on it.

"Sir its quidditch tomorrow." Harry said as we all groaned in response to this new assignment.

"Then I suggest you take extra care, Mr. Potter. Loss of limb will not excuse you. Page 394." Snape said leaning on Harry's desk talking to him before walking to the back. "The term 'werewolf' is a contraction of the Anglo Saxon word 'were' which means 'man', and 'wolf'. 'Werewolf.' Man-wolf." Snap was saying as Harry looked at Draco after seeing his note before looking back at it when Draco sneered at him making me roll my eyes and start taking notes as Snape went on, "There's several ways to become a werewolf. They include being given the power of shape-shifting, being bitten by a werewolf and being born to.." The rest of the class went on much like this as Snape went on making sure we knew everything we could on werewolves in one class.
