i brushed off the thought temporarily and just dodged the question she asked. we got to my house and soon realised we were actually neighbours which is surprisingly convenient so we can see each other even if we arent in the same classes in school. i walked her to her door and we hugged and said our goodbyes until we saw each other next. i walked away from her as i was a blushing mess and didnt want her to think anything of it.
i stepped into my house and slid my boots off while shouting for my mum to see if she was in. i looked to see if she left a note on the counter top and, as i thought, there was a post-it note next to the cookie jar it said 'ill be out for a little while for work because i have a nightshift ill be back in the morning if you're hungry there are some onigiris in the fridge for you.' i put the note down and jumped to sit on the couch. i grabbed the remote and turned on the tv, and went on netflix to watch some anime. while i was contemplating what to watch and choosing to rewatch the disastrous life of saiki k for like the hundredth time, there was a knock at my door. warily, i slowly opened the door to be greeted by shimizu with blankets, pillows and snacks in her arms. "your mum said to check on you since she would be gone all night so i thought we should have a sleepover for old times sake hehe" she said, i could see the excitement in her face, and i couldn't say no to her. i let her in and she skipped inside and started putting all the blankets and pillows on the couch.
'i once again had that same weird nervous feeling in my stomach i honestly still dont understand why im feeling like this around shimizu. do i.. like her? no...of course i dont?'
we both laid down on the couch and she suggested to watch a horror movie, i complied and let her put on the movie. i kept edging closer and closer to her because the movie was kinda scary and i feel safer around her i guess.
*kiyokos pov*
i suggested to watch a horror movie and to my suprise, y/n agreed. from what i remembered she hated getting scared and things along those lines hm. i slowly noticed her getting closer and closer to me i guess she really was scared. i quietly chuckles at her antics and she made a pouty face.
'i have to admit it was kind of cute. wait what am i thinking? do i like her?'
