I leaned against a lamppost, smoking a cigarette, watching cars drive by. I sighed softly keeping my eye on a few guys in the alleyway nearby. I hated working the street. I did whatever I could to stay off of these corners.
I hated the kind of people that would pull up, or walk by and grab me. But I couldn't do much about my situation. What Val said was Law. I sighed tossing my cigarette into the street. I heard someone walking up behind me and sighed softly. I guess it was time....
"Hey, babe lookin' for a— Alastor?!" I looked down at the overload shocked "the fuck you doin' in this part 'a town?" Alastor hated any kind of sexual advance, and this was where everyone turned tricks. He must have had at least 20 people offer to suck his dick.
"Ah, Angel! I was just on one of my late-night strolls" his smile was wide but tight. He was uncomfortable here, I doubt anyone who hadn't been around him would be able to tell though. This was the same face he made when I offered him my services. It was cute.
"Nightly strolls huh?" I rose an eyebrow at him.
"Indeed! I come out here quite often, though there never seems to be many people around" I chuckled softly folding my arms over my body
"Well yeah, ya probably scare 'em away. Speakin' of, ya should go, I need clients. Boss'll kill me if I come back short again..." I looked around seeing no one. Val was already mad, I didn't want to piss him off more...
"Ah, yes... clients..." Alastor cleared his throat "what if, I paid for your time? Not for your services of course not, but, merely for your time. We could go back to the hotel, and go out separate ways" I stared at him for a minute. Why did he want me to go back to the hotel?
"Al, ya can't just pay me ta go home and go ta bed. That wouldn't be right. This may be hell but... I can't take your money and not do anythin' for ya. Just... lemme give ya a quick blowie. Then we'll call it even 'Kay?" Alastor shook his head taking a step away from me
"Absolutely not Angel. Such acts..." he shook his head, his smile growing tighter. He looked up at me, his eyes sharp and calculated "how about we go back to the hotel and have a few drinks. Then we shall see what the night brings. Would that satisfy you enough to take my payment?"
I looked him up and down considering. There had to be some kind of trick here... he was working with Val to see if I'd take the bait? No, he wouldn't work with Val, even if it was simply his detest for Vox. Maybe he was planning to get me back to his room and then kill me? Well, try and kill me. Eh, I might be into that, depending on how he did it... going home and having a few drinks sounded nice... at least I wouldn't have to stand here for others to grab and use... if he killed me, he killed me.
"Angel?" He asked pulling me from my train of thought. I cleared my throat looking down at him
"Alright Smiles. I'll take ya up on your offer. Better than any others I'm gonna get 'round 'ere." I stood, brushing off my jacket turning towards the hotel, walking with him "how'd ya find me anyways?" I looked down at the deer demon, seeing that he looked quite satisfied with himself. Pompous bastard.
"I merely was walking through the streets of hell and came across you dear. It's not as if I was out looking for you. You were just a coincidence" I rolled my eyes looking down as I crossed all four of my arms over my body. There wasn't any coincidence with this demon. Nothing happened by chance, he was controlling everyone around him.
"Thanks. I feel all warm and fuzzy now." I muttered as we walked. The only sounds around us were the static he always emitted and the click of my heels. It was a little creepy that hell fell to silence when Alastor walked by. I jumped slightly when he laughed, a 30s laugh track supporting him.
