Is it really school again? I roll out of bed and get ready into my school uniform. I then go downstairs. My mum smiles at me as she gives me a bowl of Cheerios. I don't feel cheerio. I hate school. I can't help smirking at the fact that Tanya will soon be pleading my forgiveness. I eat the cherries and wave goodbye to mum and Ivy.
The school bus greets me as it pulls up in front of my drive. Tanya's already on it, sitting with Lauren and Zyla. I frown. Tanya is usually picked up after me. "Hey, Tan", I say. She murmurs something to Lauren and Zyla and they splutter with laughter. She then turns to me and says very pointedly, "Hello Cassidy. I'm guessing you haven't seen my latest post.". They all laugh. I can see there's no point in sitting with them, so I go and sit at the front of the bus.
I raise my eyebrows when I see that by now the only seat on the bus is in the middle of Jennifer Asken and Molly Jones. Molly and Jennifer are freaks. Nerds. Loners. Geeks. They don't fit in and no one likes them. They're on instagram sometimes and everyone makes funny and witty comments at them, me included. It's really funny.
I sit down heavily. It's about twenty long minutes to our school so I check Tanya's latest post. What did she mean when she said 'I guess you haven't seen my latest post'? Why did they laugh? I look at Tanya's latest post. I understand why they were laughing when I was so friendly. My throat feels like it will close up. There are over 100 replies to Tanya's caption. Why would she do this?
