Staring up at the ceiling, I debate whether or not to tell mum and dad about Cassidy on Messages. In the end, I decide not to. It'll probably die away after a couple of weeks, and will only get worse if parents and teachers get involved. I sigh, stretchand yawn, climbing out of bed. My hand automatically goes to my bedside desk, where my phone is, and I remember that Cass has it, so I decide to get dressed first. I pull on a Nirvana vest-top and a black skirt, and then find some yellow converse pumps, which I also wear. I comb my long, black hair into a side fishtail braid, threading some black and yellow beads in. I then look at myself in the mirror. I actually look really cool!
Cassidy, however, is a different matter. She is still asleep, in her pajamas, my now-dead phone in her hands. I storm in. "Cassidy!!"!, I shriek. She wakes up with a start. "Who-What-Where! Ahh. It's you, Ivy. Close the door on your way out.". And with that, she falls back asleep. I grab my phone and check the clock on the wall. It reads 7:30. It takes twenty five minutes to get to school, so I should get going. I kick my sister's foot lightly on the way out.She groans as I warn her again to get up. Then I sigh, give up, and go to school.
In biology, I see Jacob Allard staring at me. For most girls, this would be a dream come true. Jacob is the type of dreamboat/popular boy. For me, I just find this whole staring thing seriously irritating. He stares at me for most of the lesson, and when the bell rings for lunch, I go over to him. "Why were you staring at me?",I ask. He looks at my top and grins. "Didn't know you liked Nirvana!", He says admiringly. I give a tiny smile and nod. "Yeah. Do you?". He grins and nods. "Yeahh!!! I love them!". I don't even realise that we are walking to the lunch hall. I don't even real use that we are sitting down together. And then I do, and a warm feeling spreads all over my body. Because I'm starting to like Jacob Allard, and I think he likes me too.
