Holy shitttt- It's been 5 years. I haven't written in years so please excuse me if I seem rusty. Also thank you Animelore for requesting this. I forgot how much  I loved writing and I probably wouldn't have come back to it if not for this XD  (I still have exams tho T^T)

But anywho here you go, I hope you like it! ^^ (Also sorry in advance if there r grammar or spelling errors, I didn't proof read)

(Oh btw this takes place during/after? the Karasuno vs Aoba match)

You were gripping the empty plastic bottle in your hand as you looked down at the court from where you were seated. The team was huddled around the Aoba Johsai coach as he talked to them. You didn't have to see any of their faces to know how they were feeling, the way their shoulders slouched was enough. Only Oikawa and a few others including you boyfriend Iwaizumi were even facing the coach while the others had their heads hung low.

Oikawa said something and the team started to make their way towards the stands. Your eyes were stuck on Iwaizumi's figure as he took a few steps towards the stands and halted. Even from your position up in the stands you could see his fists clenching, you couldn't see his expression but you could imagine what it probably looked like even though you didn't want to.

It hurt to think about someone as strong as him crying, your heart psychically ached and you hated the fact that you couldn't rush down onto the court this very moment and hug him. The bottle in your hand crinkled as you crushed it in frustration, biting you lip to try and stop yourself from tearing up as well, which you failed at miserably, as you watched his teammates pat his back as they passed him.

In any sport loosing was inevitable, everyone had to lose at least once. It was a given. You don't always win in life or in sports but that doesn't mean it hurts any less. When you lose you just have to move past it, learn from it and grow stronger from what you've experienced. But this was his last match and you knew how much he loved volleyball and his team.

You watched Iwaizumi wipe his face with his shirt and join the line of players as they looked up at the Aoba Johsai cheering squad. You were in the front, right up against the railing as you clapped along with the rest of your peers, teary eyed. Your eyes met and you gave him a soft smile but it dropped immediately as he averted his gaze from yours.

"Thank you very much!" Oikawa yelled as he bowed which was soon followed by the rest of the team.

By the time the team had started to gather their things you were already rushing out of the stands to meet them. Running down the hallways towards the court entrance, while weaving through people who were also leaving now that the match was over.

You turned a corner only to crash into someone. You yelped in surprise as you felt the person get pushed back at the sudden force, looking up you realized it was Hanamaki.

"Oh, my gods I'm so sorry" You bowed slightly, apologizing as you stepped back.

"You should watch where you're going (Y/n)"

The voice wasn't his though, it came from behind him and you saw Iwaizumi looking at you, his hand on Hanamaki's shoulder. He was probably the reason why the both of you didn't go crashing down. Most of the volleyball team had already gone ahead. It was just him, Hanamaki and Oikawa who were here. Hanamkai bowed slightly as he passed you.

Without hesitating you jumped at him, hugging him tightly ignoring the fact that he was literally drenched in sweat. Iwaizumi wrapped one arm around you, hugging you softly. You felt another hand on you shoulder but it didn't feel like Iwaizumi. You turned you head to the side to see Oikawa, "I'll leave him to you then (Y/n)" He smiled at you somberly and then childishly winked at Iwaizumi even though it was obvious his heart wasn't in it before he also walked off.
