Percy was wondering the streets of New York one August evening, having left camp a few weeks earlier to go see his pop's. He was finally going to start college in September and major in the Arts and in Marine Biology. He and Annabeth had broken up sometime during the summer, around the end of June. Percy and her were having complications in the relationship, and the trauma was a little to much; plus, they both wanted to focus on other things, like Percy wanting to explore his sexuality.

Percy was walking by an alleyway on the way to a nice café he had seen the other day, when he smelt some monsters; having recognized it from the years of being a demigod, now having been doing this for about 8 or 9 years- and the week of being in tartarus, which felt more like years really. He pulled out his trusty pen, riptide, keeping the cap on for now; then walked deeper into the alleyway, hearing multiple growls from hellhounds and a slight hissing noise from one or two empousa. He dealt with them quickly, but not before getting a couple wounds on his arms and torso- and a blow to the head. He was littered in the horrible golden monster glitter that they left, he leaned against the alley wall, wincing. He glanced at the entrance and saw a group of young adults running towards him in the light from the lamp-post that littered the New York streets, noticing the three brunettes, a blonde, and a red-head with a orangish tent to her hair. His sword clanged against the ground as it fell out of his hand, the celestial bronze giving off a glow in the dark alley. He slid down the wall, his hand resting on a deep wound on his side. His vision starting to black out as the voices of the group got closer and muffled.

Soon, he let out a pained moan and his eyes fluttered closed as he drifted off unconscious...

when percy next woke, he was left with a sensation of pain all over his body; and the hearing of hushed voices around him. he let out a groan as he felt the bandages on his scarred arms brush against his new wounds as he moved to sit up some, his back sore. he heard all the voices seize, and he slowly blinked his clouded teal eyes open so he can take in where he was. he rubbed his eyes with his fingers as he sat fully up, feeling the gazes of people on him. percy looked around the what seemed to be an infirmary, and his eyes landed on the group of five lingering in the distance. he covered his mouth and let out a couple coughs, before taking in their appearances. he saw three brunettes, one female- two male; he noticed a gruff looking blonde with interesting eyes; and last he noticed the orangish-red haired female. he also noticed that four out of five of them had dark symbol looking tattoos on their skin; if he looked closer, he could see the weapons strapped to their thighs.

"can i have some water..?" he asked quietly, his voice rough from being unconscious. the nerdy shorter looking brunette quickly nodded and grabbed a glass that was sitting on a table behind them, he cautiously handed it over and percy nodded in thanks. Perseus closed his eyes as he slowly chugged the water down. the group off to the side noticing how his slouched position and slightly pale nature became relaxed but not completely, and how the Ravenettes natural hispanic tan seemed to come back.  percy set the glass down, and looked towards the group again.

"so.. you are the group who found me in a alleyway, covered in golden glitter, and covered in wounds." percy said, "i'm surprised you didn't think i was some kind of messed up freak show cosplayer."

then the blonde with the interesting eyes spoke up with a untrusting glare on his face, "you also had this golden sword that had mysteriously disappeared halfway here. and what in the name is a cosplayer?"

"ah.. great." percy sighed, and his face became blank.

"who even are you?" the blonde spoke again.

percy narrowed his eyes into a glare, "shouldn't i be asking that question? you guys are the ones who kidnapped me from an alleyway."

the red-head looked offended, shock lacing her features, "you were going to bleed out!" she exclaimed, waving her hands out in front of her. like some dramatic six year old having a temper tantrum because they didn't get their way.

percy shrugged, waving his hand in a 'doesn't matter' kind of way, "eh, wouldn't be the first time i've almost died." he muttered without a care, already figuring that these people weren't normal. "anyway.." he took riptide out of his pocket in pen form, "my sword is enchanted to come back to me in its hidden form, like those blades strapped to your thighs. not very sudle if i do say so myself." he said, then pointed his pen at the nerdy brunette, "and you.." percy tilted his head, "you smell... different.. almost monster like, but not an evil monster. hmm.. what are you..?" he asked slowly.

the brunette looked conflicted, almost like he was shocked and surprised, "ah.. im.. a daylighter." he muttered, looking between his friends and percy.

percy looked confused, "and what is that, i have a completely different setting and other sorts than you guys seem to have..."

the male widened his eyes, glancing at his group of friends, who were all in shock or untrusting of the male they had taken from the alley. he looked back at the young adult, " oh, um.. im a vampire that can walk in the sun."

that's different, must be another group of people who take out the more christian side of things.. he's fine as long as he doesn't kill any innocent mortals. percy thought, spacing out a bit. he heard someone cough loudly into their hand and he let out an unintelligent 'huh..' as he focused back in. percy shook his head, "right. sorry. ADHD." he looked back at the vampire, "you'll be fine in my book as long as you don't kill any innocent  mortals. plus, you don't smell evil anyway."

the blonde groaned, rolling his eyes. sad that the attention isn't on him. percy slowly turned his gaze towards him. the blonde spoke, " how are you not surprised by this?" he asked.

percy shrugged, moving to take his bandages off. "it honestly doesn't surprise me anymore, i've seen way to much weird shit to be." he said, "also, i will tell you who and what i am, if you tell me who and what you are. because i know you are far from being a mundane mortal."

the group glanced at each other and simultaneously nodded, the blonde pushing the taller brunette male forward- who sighed at the prospect.

percy rose a brow but didn't say anything, glancing between them. that's a little sus, el chico. he thought, pausing his movements before continuing them.

"i am Alexander bane, the head of the New York Institute; you can call me Alec. I am a shadowhunter." he said, then backed up and nudged the brunette female forward, who glared slightly at her older brother, " i am Isabelle Lightwood, head of the weapons department; you can call me izzy. i am also a shadowhunter." the read-head stepped forward next, "i am clarissa Fairchild; call me clary. im a shadowhunter with pure angel blood." then the blonde stepped forward, " i am Jonathan horandale, call me jace. i am a shadow hunter who also has pure angel blood coursing through my vains." the vampire then stepped forward, "ah, im Simon Lewis."

percy nodded slowly, taking in the info, he'd figure he'd find out what shadowhunter meant later. he soon spoke, "i am perseus jackson, demigod son of the greek god Poseidon. call me percy, if you call me perseus, i'll probably break something of yours, because usually only people who want to kill me use my full name." he said, flashing them a grin, his ocean eyes churning with mischief.  "you also don't want to get on my bad side. it would be a very bad idea."
