Radar turned around and faced the cave, silently saying goodbye to his home. He then turned to the sky and jumped into the air, letting his four wings hover within the sky as he waited for his female friend to follow.
The deer hybrid quickly followed, bouncing into the air to hover beside him. She held her arm cautiously with her other, afraid it would fall from the sling it was held in. Radar nodded to her and folded his wings, dropping through the sky before opening them quickly as he reached the green tree tops.
He surveyed the area before noting where he was, taking a sharp right and soaring further down, and soon a familiar willow came into his line of vision. He landed more gracefully than the night before, noting the roughed up earth on the furthest side of the clearing. Hopefully his deer buddy wouldn't notice.
Kitkat soon landed nearby, careful to land on her stronger hind legs first, using her beating wings to softy land on her one good arm. She looked up to note Radar had picked a few purple flowers nearby and had placed them beneath the willow tree. She looked around, leaving Radar to quietly say goodbye.
She paused when she noticed a large tossed up trail of earth, but did not mention anything to Radar about it. She looked around the area and noted the scents in the air. She could tell Radar had been here last night. But that wasn't the only one. He had been with another. But there didn't seem to be any kind of struggle in the area. She continued to smell the air and the ground, and quickly noticed they weren't alone.
She began to growl, deep within her throat, and spreading her wings. Radar looked up and noticed Kitkat was in a fighting stance. Confused, he sniffed the air, eyes closed as he tried to focus on what she could smell. Another. But he knew this smell.
"Kitkat wait it's ok-"
A familiar purple bat emerged from the thickets before Kitkat, who was still in a fighting stance. Radar smiled apologetically towards Crumble, who's pale blue eyes were flickering between the ivory quadwing and the hissing female. Radar quickly trotted over and placed his body between Kitkat and Crumble.
"He's a friend, he... he helped me last night." Radar quickly said, turning to Crumble with a smile. The lilac bat chuckled and nodded.
"Indeed, and I'm glad I was able to help," He watched as the emerald female leaned back and closed her wings to her sides. She chuckled nervously and sat back on her hinds legs, her good arm coming to rub at her neck through shame.
"Sorry, I guess I'm still on edge," She smiled softly.
"That's quite alright, your friend here had informed me on the troubles you two overcame. So, its normal to feel that way. " The lilac beast rumbled with slight laughter, his pale sapphire hues landed back onto the two, lightly craning his head in a puzzled manner.
"Where were the two of you headed? It looks awfully rushed. " The bat questioned, his stare focused on the two, before landing on the speaking quadwing once more.
" We're leaving. " Radar stated, a glint of guilt reflected within his pale yellow pupils. He had an edging feeling of staying, though he couldn't risk his and Kitkat's utter safety. Not while Ketu still lingers, although it pains him to leave his birthplace, he had strictly known this would've been the correct route to move forth, even if it meant leaving behind his mother's last memories.
"Well, planning to, at least. The both of us cant stay here any longer, not after what had happened." his words stung the air with a venomous bite. Kitkat, who shifted beside the white beast, leaned her cranium against his shoulder in a comforting manner. The bat watched the two interact, allowing himself to smile.
"I see. Whatever you seem to choose, it'll be good for the both of you. " he commented, his thoughts buzzed quietly. Slightly, his tassel curled around his back hind-legs.
