"How was the surgery?" I asked my brother, as I hugged him lightly. Vinnie took a seat beside the bed, and shook Miguel's hand.

"Well, I was asleep," Miguel replied, smartly.

"Okay, smart-ass, you know what I meant," I rolled my eyes.

"I guess it was fine." Miguel shrugged, "I just hope it worked."

"Yeah, me too," I said. "Mom's outside," I told him. "You're tired. I'll tell her you're getting some rest. I love you,"

"I love you, too, Mila," he smiled softly.

"Later, man," Vinnie fist bumped my brother's hand, and led me out of the hospital. "You didn't tell him..." he said, his eyes worriedly set on me. I sighed.

"The kid can't walk, Vinnie. The last thing he needs to hear is that his sister may just get herself killed because his team of Cobra Micro-dicks are after Miyagi-Do." I told him, as he laced his hand with mine. He chuckled.

"My, Camila, what colorful language you have!" Vinnie teased.

"Colorful and true," I retorted.

"Marry me," he sighed, kissing my cheek. My heart fluttered.

"Someday," I whispered, low enough so that Vinnie didn't hear.

Even though I was still terrified of the building and the events that took place there, Vinnie dragged my ass out of bed, and into school. He and I
—miraculously— had every class together. Therefore, I felt safe in my classes.

Vinnie, Sam, and I entered the cafeteria at the exact second that Demetri confronted Hawk for ruining his Earth Science project.

"You've got to be fucking kidding—I helped him build that," I told my boyfriend. "It took us three weeks,"

"Another week, another pissing contest. Although I shouldn't be surprised since you love pissing so much," Demetri said, nearing Hawk.

"You landed one kick," Hawk said. "You got lucky."

"You better back off, or you won't be lucky," Sam sneered, joining Demetri.

I scratched at my wrist nervously, to which Vinnie scooped my hand into his, drawing circles on the back of mine with his thumb.

"I've got you," he whispered. "Just breathe."

"Yeah, like you'll start anything, princess," Hawk teased Sam, and I picked up on what he was doing. The teacher walked around, watching the kids as they talked during their meal. "Actually, why don't you go sleep around with Camila's new boyfriend, and break his and her heart?" Hawk pressed. Sam pushed him. I glanced at Vinnie, who had a look of disgust on his face, causing me to chuckle.

"What's going on here, Miss LaRusso? You know our new guidelines against physical contact," Mrs. Blatt said. "Did she enter your personal bubble without your verbal consent."

"Yeah, she definitely triggered me in my safe space," Hawk said, and for a second, I saw Eli, not Hawk.

"What are you talking about? He started by destroying my science project!" Demetri argued.

"That was an accident!" Hawk yelled.

"Oh, we all know it wasn't Eli!" I spoke up.

"You probably shouldn't bring your toys to school anyway," Hawk said.

"I don't want excuses. I just want you all to respect each other." Blatt said.

"She's right, guys. We should stop the aggression. Micro and macro."

"Micro like your dick?" I muttered under my breath. Vinnie heard this, and began to cough.

"Oh, give me a break," Sam spat.

"Hey." Blatt warned. "Consider this a warning Miss LaRusso. And get these legos off the ground, someone could get hurt,"

"For you pansies, no space is safe," Hawk said, causing a chill to roll down my spine. Vinnie noticed, and guided me out of the cafeteria.

Gym class was another shit show. Vinnie and I had decided to skip, and Sam and Demetri filled us in on the details.

"Guys, I'm starting to rethink all of this. I really don't want to get hurt again—" I was cut off. Vinnie squeezed my hand.

"Fine," Sam said, "then don't help us,"

Her rudeness caught me off guard. "It's not that I don't want to help—I just don't want to end up in a wheelchair like my brother," I retorted.

"Well, we don't want you to either—and how do we know you won't just end up leaving us to join Cobra Kai?" Sam spat.

Demetri, who had a tissue up his nose, which was gushing blood, shied away from my hand that was trying to clean him up.

A feeling of hurt flashed my heart. "You don't really think I'd do that.." I said. I looked to my boyfriend who shook his head.

"She wouldn't do that," Vinnie said. "Camila hates Cobra Kai...she doesn't even want Miguel going back to karate with them."

"Sam what is your problem? Everything was fine.."

"Yeah, everything was fine. And as soon as you showed up, everything started to get worse. None of this would be happening if it wasn't for you." Sam spat.

"Let's just go—" Vinnie began, and before he could finish, I slapped Sam across the face. Hard.

"I tried to be your friend again, Sam—but you know, you'll never really be forgiven. Fuck you," I said.

I grabbed Vinnie's hand and pulled him out of the house, and to the car.

"That was so fucking hot," Vinnie sighed. I glanced at him, and chuckled, pushing his head, playfully.

"Just drive, lover boy,"
