The door opened wide to let a recognizable face walk in.

"Hi Veronica."

"Chloe?" I got up and hugged her.

She seemed confused at first. Maybe she thought I was still upset with the idea she doesn't believe me. I'm not. I'm just glad she's here.

"Chloe, this is my counselor Sarah."

I introduced them to each other.

"That's great you have a friend like Chloe. Do you guys talk about everything together?" Sarah said.

"Yeah, but school just started and we just met. But it feels like we have known each other forever."

I looked over at Chloe. She was smiling.

"I think it's time for lunch." Sarah said.

Chloe walked by my side as Sarah showed us the cafeteria. There was a girl sitting by herself. She was laughing historically at nothing.

"I'm going to go get you something to eat. You and Chloe stay here okay?"

We nodded and sat down at the table next to us.

"Chloe I'm really glad you came."

"Of course your my friend!"

"Hey." A girl said. Her short dark black hair was messy. It was like a birds nest. She was fiddling with her fingers.

"Hi." I responded.

"I heard they put you here cause you believe in vampires. What a embarrassment. Those mystical creatures don't exist."

I felt my face heat up. I can't believe she just said that.

"You should probably stop talking. The reason I'm here is not your business. So stay out of it."

I heard her laughter echo through my ear. My fist started to clench in a ball.

"I hope your little vampire boyfriend heard that."

I stood up almost moving the table. I grabbed her by the arm.

"SHUT UP!!"

I felt Chloe push me away. More arms started dragging me away from the girl.

"Stop!!" I screamed.

I started kicking in the air. The guards led me towards my room. They pushed me in and the door slammed shut. I heard the click of the lock.

Tears streamed down my face. Why am I getting so angry? I felt the heat in my face still. My heartbeat was pounding.
