I wake up to the sound of my obnoxious alarm clock beeping in my ear. I open my eyes to see the sun seeping through the curtains.
I start to get shaky at the thought of the first day of school. I pick out a nice outfit to wear. I go into the bathroom and start to straighten my brown curls.
I walk downstairs and grab an apple. I see Tyler come downstairs. "Get in the car idiot, we're leaving."
I'd be far more happy if I had my license. Then I wouldn't have to have Tyler drive me to school.
"Just 'cause your older than me doesn't mean you can boss me around." I say as I bite into my apple. "And I'm the one giving you a ride to school am I not?" He replies.
I roll my eyes and try my best to enjoy the car ride. I look out the window to see the sun is not out yet. It's foggy and dark outside.
We finally pulled up to our brand new high school. Beaver Bay. I grabbed my stuff and walked into the large building, finding my way to the office.
I see a lady behind the counter. Her grey hair is tied up in a bun. Like one of those librarians. "Hello, I'm new here and haven't gotten my schedule yet."
She looks up at me like I did something wrong. "Whats your name." She says with an attitude. "Veronica Snow." "Full name." She almost yelled. "Veronica Taylor Snow."
She typed something in her computer. I couldn't see exactly what she was typing. She handed me my schedule, my ID and my locker number and combo.
"Thank you." I said with a smile. It sounded almost like she growled at me. I walked out as fast as I could to get out of there. I sure hope most of the people here aren't like that.
As I walked out of the office I felt somebody bump into me. A blonde tall girl stood in front of me. "I'm sorry." "It looks like you just met Mrs. Plum."
"Yeah, she growled at me?" I said laughing.
"It's okay she's like that with everybody." Said the girl."I'm sorry, I'm Chloe. You're new right?"
"I'm Veronica, and yeah I'm from Missouri.""Well since your new I should give you a tour around this place." She walked me through the hallways pointing out the stereotypes in this school.
She pointed at a group of girls that had booty shorts on maybe too short. They looked like they use 5 layers of makeup. There were senior guys wearing there football jerseys next to them.
"Those are the preps." She said. She lead me to the girls bathroom. There was a group of girls smoking weed. They had piercings and body tatoos. "And those are the not so motivated people."
She went on and on showing me everybody. "Band geeks." "Book worms."
She lead me to my locker. I grabbed my books and headed to first hour. I walked into my french class to be greeted by the teacher. "Hello Veronica you can take a seat right next to Caleb."
I sat down next to the the boy. I only got a glimpse look of his face till I looked away. He had dirty blonde hair, pale skin, muscular, blue eyes.
So many thoughts were running through my head. So many questions I want to ask him. Could it even be possible.
This boy sitting right next to me.. He was the boy standing in front of my house.
